While I agree with this, I have a love/hate. I was looking for a Moore/Stralman player shirt with the Stanley Cup logo on the chest, and they were no where to be found. Only the "big guys" like St Louis, Nash, Lundy, McD. It's almost like seeing an oasis when you run into Rangers gear during the regular season, but when it's finally out en masse - it seems it still slim pickens other than what they want you to buy.

Need love for the Dorsetts/Boyles/Kleins/Stralmans

Since the jerseys are basically the same, just buy a regular one and add the patch yourself. You can buy the patch seperate

I was at the Yankees game on Sunday, they were showing Rangers fans on the Jumbotron. We were everywhere

Thanks Kreiderman. I was referring to the shirseys though. They screen printed the 2014 SCF logo on the upper right hand breast of the shirts. My gripe was there wasn't any Boyle's Stralmans etc.

I am absolutely loving this....those 2 idiots on espn radio mike and mike have nothing to talk about, they are keeping away from hockey cause they know nothing about it...this morning they were talking about harry carey??? from the cubs....the other fatso on the wfan has nothing to talk about since both the yanks and mets stink.....some callers are calling in and saying they don't even where to play hockey if they wanted to....the true stupidity of NYC is coming out now

I love all these non-hockey fans trying to talk hockey on NY Radio--NO, seriously, I love it. I'll take all the hockey love I can get....I mean, we all had to start somewhere, right?

Could just be dumb life-long fans. Tough to tell the difference sometimes

Cringing at the callers angry that "Rangers aren't the favorites! No respect!". Beggars can't be choosers. At least NYR are in.

Some drunk ******* was screaming about how good Brian Boyle is at 2 AM while I was trying to sleep. So yeah, people are talking.

In Williamsburg today, saw a parked car with Rangers flags attached to the windows, and a hipster on the sidewalk wearing a Rangers cap

Border of Greenpoint / Williamsburg by any chance? I have a flag on my rear left window, an emblem on the back windshield, and a license plate frame. (I've had these on for a few years)

Anyway LGR!

The only negative part of the bandwagon aspect is the people who are at the games in the ECF and SCF just for the cool factor/place to be. I've come to terms that the real fan has been priced out for the most part. Not all the fans but definitely lots of them. Just comes with the territory of this team being the talk of the town for late may/June. Comes with the territory but nice to see that this team is getting some recognition.

These "fans" make me laugh!

As I emerged from my mother's womb, I was already well read in how to build a team on a internet message board before the internet existed. If that's not being a fan. I don't know what is.

Well everybody knows that all kids born in hospitals are automatically Rangers fans

My favorite part are the Islanders and Devils fans now claiming every Rangers fan is a bandwagoner. At a bar? Bandwagner. At Bryant Park? Bandwagoner. Wearing a shirt? Where were before the finals hmmmm? Its funny.

on the opposite side on a bandwagoner is the die hard. At the Surf Club in Breezy this past weekend and the cabana on the end of my court had a 50-inch TV hooked up, Potvin whistle cheers, "Henrik/Henry" cheers, among other things with about 15-20 people watching (there is no cable here; some have satellite, and many do not have TVs - assuming this TV was brought for the game). A cabana has about 60 square feet inside and this one had about 60 additional outside and it's pretty much just off the sand. It's nice cooking dinner for your son knowing the score based on how the cheers go, well, until you find out it's only 1-0 and not 3-0 because the crowd was just louder and more excited than the Garden.

I went out in Manhattan tonight and every single bar I went into or walked past had the Rangers game on. Most bars had the game on every one of their TVs with the volume on. Each bar was filled with fans, both diehards and bandwagoners, rooting for the Rangers.

I know once next season starts the Rangers won't have nearly as much of a following and coverage in NY as they had tonight. But it was great to see so many New Yorkers invested in this team, if only for a night.

Hard luck guys.
You gave it your best shot and with a bit more luck, who knows.
I hope you are all proud of your team. Anyone who didn't watch all the games might think "out in 5, big deal" but that did not tell the story of these finals.

La are, it has to be said, a juggernaut and I honestly thought their physicality would have overwhelmed you but Rangers players surprised me with their dogged belligerence and never say die attitude.

I know how most of you are feeling, having gone through it in 2011. However unlike the Canucks, I hope you have a GM who sits down and makes the quality reinforcements available to AV and I would like nothing better to see you back in the finals next year, maybe playing against the Canucks.

I doubt it will be us though due to the amount of ground we lost under Mike Gillis management.
You didn't win it but I hope you don't alter your exciting brand of hockey.

Anyway enjoy the rest of the your summer. All the best for next season.

A lot of hockey fans pay no attention to the regular season and only turn on the TV in the playoffs. But I'd expect to be a lot more attention in October on the Rangers than last year. Unfortunately I think the team will be gassed with such a short turnaround
