The Jets are not a wagon. More like a C-17
Globemaster 3.

The jerseys may have changed but that was the classic low-event, kind of dull matchup that the Coyotes always put on at CLC. They were decent but no match for the Jets juggernaut.

I am not normally one to complain about the reffing but those were some exceptionally soft calls on the Jets. I'm glad that the good guys were able to overcome that.

Nice to see the Jets winning the games they should be winning. Hope they can keep it rolling as the competition intensifies over the next few days...

I keep peaking on the main boards to see if there's any threads about us being 12-1.

Nothing (that I can see at least).

I kind of like flying under the radar.
I'm actually quite happy there aren't any threads.
People can see where we are in the standings.
No need to blab about it there.
Our results have also killed off threads like:

Who's the best Canadian team?
Who will win the Central?
And so on.

We can be 24-2 and quiet as a mouse.
Nothing to see here.

Yep just go about your game.

Hard to believe that the Jets have a 10 point lead on Dallas already, who could get dragged back into the pack this week or stay ahead of it. St. Louis, Utah and Colorado are feeling the injury bug. Part of this run is staying healthy.

Long ways to go.

Jets 5 on 5 game is quickly catching up to its special teams. To me it looks like the coaching staff had implemented the correct systems in all phases for this group of players. Not much to nit pick right now. I'm pretty confident that we will continue to perform at a high level even when our shooting normalizes. This is a real good team.

They say that you don't know what you have in a defenceman till around the 250 game mark. Stanley is nowhere near that mark maybe he is a late late bloomer.
even if he is, his upside on this team is a 3rd pair dman. 99.9% sure he will never be ahead of Morrissey or Samberg (who i had a bit of a question mark as a 2nd pair Dman coming to this year-but has been fantastic). i don't buy this show-casing for trade narrative that i've seen written here or other places. i think he's a mid 3rd pair LD, which is a dime a dozen player. in my view that should be a rotational spot with Miller being the mainstay on the 3rd pair.

I don't know how the pairings would work, but I'd like to see it. Miller has been fine, but clearly he is what he is ....I thought he was our weakest D the last couple games and that's not even a criticism.
He was bad last night. He gave the puck away at their blue line which led to a breakaway.

There is actually the biggest surprise teams thread which is all about the jets in the main forum.

Just did a little googling for "best starts to NHL season" and the Jets tear this year is getting to the point where it's one of the better ones in league history. This is truly special. I'm glad that most of us are enjoying it
Ottawa 26 points in their first 14 games of 2007-08 is the best start apparently so we can tie that Thursday night.

The 3 players that I've noticed, that have really elevated their game this year are Neiddereiter, Ehlers and Connor. Hope these guys keep up their level of play, as it's making a huge difference in the win column.
