Post-Game Talk: Bagel City Jets 3 - Avs 0

Couldnt watch the game, what about sambergs performance stood out to you guys?

I thought the line changes were timely and effective.

Ehlers with Lowry hasn't been golden in the past, but that line with Iafallo, who has really stepped up with injury opportunity, and Samberg-Pionk on defense as a hard matchup against MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Makar was effective. Getting a goal on their first shift must have been validating for Arniel. Ehlers responded well to getting that hard ice time. The 2nd line's effectiveness allowed Scheifele's line to generate scoring chances against secondary matchups.

It's too bad Fetts didn't get the goal on his first chance off Nino's rush from his pass, but I think that line was ok. Maybe broke down a little in the defensive zone but not in a costly way. Kupari showed some nice wheels.

PK was very good.

Goaltending was solid.

That's a much needed victory to pull to .500 on the homestand, which hopefully ends on a positive note in the final week.

I'll be surprised if there are too many complaints after this game, a big rebound win that created a little separation on the Wild Card in the division.

Still can't sleep on the Avs who were missing some key players, but that was a good formula to home ice success in a game where the Jets had no PPs.

For me it's the good positions he puts himself in with his skating. He got the early assist, but that was as much Iafallo's work to win the puck as his. He keeps the play in front of him. Moves the puck quickly. Used body position well in one on one battles.

I was one of the Arniel critics, but I've certainly changed my tune. Yes, he'll have a shelf life like all coaches, but he's done an excellent job managing this bench

Nice game from everyone, Helly is the MVP in the league right now. I know it was injuries that had to shuffle the lines but i think we should do this once in a while. Harder for the opposition to scout us and our lines getting a little stale. Shutout a very good team and we were on a back to back, nice. Now we Dance....

“See Helle get a shutout against the Avs, and I…”
