This is no longer about the official outing of Mike Babcock that's way too easy. It's about the outing of the posters here and on other social media who have chosen to defend him despite all the info out there about him or who don't understand or are minimizing what a serious violation of privacy going through someone else's phone is in any setting. That level of delulu is well worth noting.

After he got fired from the Leafs...Chris Johnston said that he was at a game a few weeks later and Babs was in the press box with him. Chris said he looked at him and Babs asked "What do you do around here?" ....Chris said he had been at every single press conference that Babs held for 4.5yrs and had asked many a question to Babs during that time. This was just a shitty move to make someone feel belittled IMO and it shows what kind of stuff Babs is made of. After I heard Johnston talk about that encounter...I thought everything bad that was said about Babcock was true and probably a lot worse happened.

Think it's possible the situation with Jenner happened organically and the outcome was positive so Babcock being the maniac that he is thought this one size approach would fit all. Rigid, like his coaching style.

He's definitely a weird guy, but I do think there was some players on CBJ who had no interest in playing for Babcock and were waiting on him to make a mistake so he could be pushed out.

The hate on Babs on this forum is real, the main thread is nuts, although granted most main board threads are.

He’s tough on players and demands lots, yup. We replaced him with Keefe, it was mistake then and it still is. Any money we’d have more then one series win by now if we just rode Babs coaching.

Silly phone picture story is silly. Would anyone here trade for a cup final appearance over players like coach?

As much as I hate on Keefe for getting wrekt by other coaches come playoff time we wouldn't have even made the playoffs the year Babs got fired if he wasn't let go. Like it or not the players quit on him (because he's a jackass)
