That's a sick wrister from the point, one of the most effortless looking shots I have ever seen. Ericsson had a recorded 100mph+ clapper but you would never know it, he had no idea how to use it. If ASP can rip nice wristers from just inside the blueline that can be a real weapon. Its hard to tell with that video resolution/framerate but I think his stick was flexing like crazy? Just looks so effortless but that's a full freaking rip.

Probably part of the younger generation that uses very low flex to get shots quicker and with enough power. I'm curious to see how that would work for a defenseman because afaik it can reduce the stick's effectiveness on defense.

This kid's brain interprets movement on the ice in a way that is really unusual. I think the worst case scenario is that he ends up on the third pair 5 on 5, and turns the PP into a lethal weapon.
I'm hopeful that he might be a little more Rafalski-like than Ghost-like, and be able to keep up well enough defensively on a higher pair to put up real numbers, even strength, against real opposition.
