And this is why I don't come here often. It's exhausting to be around people who are constantly negative about everything the team does and see everything from a negative lens. The negativity builds up the point where things contrary to reality start to become common knowledge around here. Before the Avs traded Georgiev, I could swear it was common sense around here to assume CMac is a terrible GM who loves Georgiev and never does anything.

I get fans are irrational by nature, but it would be nice for that rationality to go in the Sea Eagles direction a little more often or at least find some balance.

Compher out of the box bullying Bouchard and scoring on the break for me.

It's especially exciting because we know Bettman was cheating to favour the US team. Otherwise Compher would have been in the box for 2 + 5 + 10 minutes. And the ref should have taken the puck and literally thrown it into the Avs goal.

That moment Nate makes the turn to head back up ice. You can almost see a physical swtich simply flip. His entire demanor, stride, and purpose were simply not going to be impeded. He was going to go score his hatrick goal and there was any doubt in his mind... or mine even watching it live the first time.

In fact... I think this is the goal where Nathan MacKinnon actually surpassed Peter Forsberg as my second favorite all-time player. Roy will always be first for me and I just always preferred Foppa's style to Joe's. It was more devil may care and Nate... Nate's got that in him as well.
