Annunen had a perfect opportunity to become a 1G here this season.

My personal belief is when Bednar threw Annunen under the bus after a 'bad' start - while never, ever doing the same with George after he started the season like ass for the first 5 games - that's when he lost Justus.
You cannot have that kind of double standard especially after Justus got a bunch of wins to get us back to .500 after George crapped the bed with that 1W-4L start.
I liked Annunen but I prefer to see him elsewhere rather than force him here after being treated the way he has.

The year before Wedgewood saved 6.75 GSAA.
Off to a horrible start this season. Leads me to believe this guy is likely cooked.

LOL good lord this is a brutal trade.
When you're adding cap at least make the dude worthwhile.
MacFarland has shown me nothing to dispel the notion that he thinks he can build a contender and build for the future at the same time which is impossible for a GM. It's a death sentence.
Rather than ripping off the bandaid and giving up better assets for better goaltenders, he goes lateral while giving himself less wiggle room by adding cap.

Now we watch Cheeks turn it around in Nashville who seems to create good goalies at will.
This is my biggest issue in all of this. They traded for a guy taking double the cap that's probably gonna be just as good as the guy we got off waivers for free that we let go after one game. I would have rather seen a 4giev trade.
