KHL isn't what it used to be, but still impressive. It would be nice if this team could actually draft someone outside of top-10 for once.

Some people are talking about Landeskog being a potential secret weapon for us come playoff time. I'm still pessimistic about that, but I don't think many people outside of Denver know about Kovalenko being such a possibility.

Something not being talked about on the drafting side... Timmins if he could stay healthy would stick. Barron is going to get established this year. Aman is a bit of a numbers game currently, but looks fantastic in the AHL and was a decent 4th liner last year. Behrens looks as good as he ever has at DU. This doesn't get into Foudy either (or OO if it clicks). There are a few signs corners have been turned. WAY TOO early to proclaim it as true, but it certainly isn't as dark as it has been.

What is Drew Helleson up to? Will he make it?

At this point, what is there not to like about this kid.

Regardless of how good the KHL is or was, he showing he can score and be an offensive player.
He’s got a bull in a china shop mentality. Always goes hard to the net and not afraid to go to the dirty areas.
Is useful and dangerous on the PK.

It’s encouraging to see that he just keeps getting better

I notice the critiques on his skill have died down.

Outstanding effort on his recent goal, but that takes skill to kick the puck to your blade, and then elevate the puck and find the net from your knees as you're falling backward.

Love the way LOC plays, but you're probably not gonna see a play like that from him.

It's hard to say. You put Lehky in the KHL and he might look like Wayne Gretzky.

I do like Kovy a lot though. If we can get another Lehky that would be unreal!

I just hope he proves Hench wrong, the skating with your head down thing is a death nail in the NHL.
