No performance bonuses in the first year and 850 A bonuses in years 2-3 (no B bonuses). Now any A bonus would be very unlikely to happen in year 1 (near impossible actually), but it impacts LTIR space that will impact Makar's carryovers.

Well, one thing we know for sure is he’s playing for the Avs next season at the latest.

They’re not going to burn two ELC years playing him in the AHL. Unless I’m misunderstanding his contract.

It's a big talent drain for sure, but BC usually recruits well, so it may not be that bad for them. I just don't see Helleson being ready yet for that next step. It might be the Avs who say no to an ELC this year.
