it's like he expects too much from what he's capable of right now , like you stated , lower personal expectations and grind, make as few mistakes as possible and mature

I can't remember who it was that said it on here, but they noted he's a split second late on mental decisions, and I can't unsee it, he's constantly missing plays because he just takes a split second too long with and without the puck to figure out what he's gonna do.

I 100% agree he needs to simplify his game. It's notable, by far his best stretch of play came... on a grind line with LOC and Cogs.

the toolset is there to be a useful NHLer, I still don't have any idea in what capacity. He's a very different player from Jost but the same baffling "wtf is this guy" thing.
