I fully agree. As much as the team seems to like Newhook, it's going to take him taking a monumental step next season for it to be worthwhile to keep him instead of trading him for immediate help for this run IMO.

That could be a plan for Galchenyuk next year if they decide to keep him around. For what he lacks in scoring he's embraced that grinder role pretty well.

It's kind of weird to think about it, but I just realized something. I watch as many Avs games as I can per year. Usually 75+ in the regular season, and I tend to not miss playoff games. So I watch a lot of Avs hockey. I get to take a lot of it in. I read HFavs pretty much every day. I read stories on NHL.com etc about the Avs. So I pay attention as much as I can. I am extremely dedicated to this team and absorbing as much information as humanly possible. Makar is a good hockey player.
