Post-Game Talk: Avs @ Ducks 6 PM MST || Luck always seems like it belongs to someone else.

So, I found this on the Kings post game thread, there isn't an EJ thread so I figured I'd just post it here. Really liked this quote from a Kings fan:

"I really noticed Erik Johnson's absence; for some reason, he's always seemed to play very well against the Kings as an Av at all the very recent games I've attended (every home game vs. Colorado, except one, since 2001). And for how much Colorado gets ripped on that trade, but I've been far more impressed (at least, insofar as impact vs. the Kings) with Johnson than I was with Chris Stewart (who I never really noticed when he played us, unless he was taking a stupid penalty)."

It's nice to see. Most people don't watch him consistently and just look at his stats and the fact that he was drafted #1 overall.

He really controls the game. I'm never nervous when he gets the puck in our own zone, unlike with all our other defenders, minus Barrie. He's great at shielding the puck in the corner, using his skating to get away from pressure and using his speed to close gaps.

Even if he doesn't improve too much offensively, he's still a great player. I think it's a matter of time before his offense starts flowing. Once this team is ready to compete and we have a better offense he'll atleast pick up assists.

That's true come to think of it, he does always get up for Kings games. I'd guess because the intensity is so high, he thrives in situations like that IMO.

If this team can build itself into a playoff team, I think we'll see another level that EJ can get to.

Bordy looks so creepy.

Should I even bother watching this game?

Back to back against one of the best teams? Gonna be ugly

130 VCash down on the Avs. I'm on a rapid descent into VCash bankruptcy.

Don't do it!! I've gone vbroke chasing the big odds on Avs wins!

Had to ***** myself out just to make an extra 50 vcash and I went right back to the beast and put it all on the Avs again!

I think I have a problem :help:

Really though I'm going for the Avs win, Landy to come out hungry, Duchene making up for a slow game last night, it's time to nut up or shut up

In honor of Oscar night, I challenge anyone to find a movie title that best describes, or relates to the team.

I'll start with... "Eight Men Out" (1988)

In our situation, the eight men out should be: Kroenke(s), Sherman, Sacco, PL, ROB, Zanon, and Hunwick.

Obviously this year's nomination, Silver Linings Playbook. Joe Sacco has no playbook, and the silver lining is a possible Seth Jones.

If only we had got Bruce that'd be us!!! Well, at least if you listen to HFBoards. Sacco holding back the amazing RoB, SoB, and Hunwick :deadhorse

Home team five day break... visiting team back to back game...

...quality scheduling.

The Lost Boys...nothing to do with the movie...just the title

Seems to describe our Defense
