Production is clearly needed, but I care more about habits, effort and defensive play. Those are the areas he needs to grow in to be an every night NHLer, and his stint this year showed how far he needs to go.

I'm sure the Avs gave him some notes before they sent him back about what they wanted him to work on. They saw the same games we did.

I thought they said they were basically sending Cogs with him, and there was another person as well.
They're being very active with him from what I remember being said.
But this org doesn't do player development.
