And the number of PP points on that list go

27
27
30
30
22
15
He also played fewer games and has fewer points than all of them, which is why I brought up PPG in the first place.

Why would you talk about PP points in absolute numbers?

Romani has 94 points but only 22 from the PP? That's impressive.

Just adding context. I wasn’t going to convert it to ES points per game by hand but the info is there on the OHL site. It’s incredible that Ritchie is having the season he is without the big benefit of the power play, which greatly helps the London players in particular. It’s just such underutilized context, it’s not even a talking point when it comes to Mack and the Hart, which it should be, he’s leading in 5v5 points by 4 and ES by 2.

Great pick from the Sharks at 26th overall last summer.

The guy on top of the list was drafted by the Leafs at 28th OA, same draft class.

Easton Cowen is gonna have a long career even if he tops out as a 3rd liner

It’s interesting most of Ritchie’s goals are at the net front, either rebounds or chip plays.

Which is a great sign that he's willing to go to the dirty areas, and has the hands to finish, considering he also has good talent and IQ outside the net front.

If he can keep building his defensive game in the NHL, he might become a very complete player. Which is the perfect 2C to play behind Nate.

Perfect #3 center behind MacK and Crosby :sarcasm:

Honestly it's one of things I watch for in prospects. Any idiot can score on junior goalies. There are all sorts of weak goals going in.

But when a player goes to the net and scores dirty goals, rebounds, deflections that stuff translates to the next level and your can't teach a player to do these things. They either do them or they don't.

Ritchie tends to do this stuff well, hopefully it continues because it bodes well for his chances at success at the next level.

Maybe AHL, but Bednar almost assuredly won't play a rookie he hasn't seen much in the playoffs. Same thing happened with Bo.
Bednar has played rookies in the playoffs before though, of course there was Cale Makar, but Sampo Ranta also debuted for the Avs in the playoffs under Bednar.

It's unlikely that Ritchie will jump someone to start the playoffs but when injuries and adversity hit, I'm hoping that Bednar will look at the reserves and see Ritchie and Kovalenko are kids that can put the lotion in the basket and call their names over Kivi's. No disrespect to Joel, but he's not really scoring at the NHL level.
