They were not good the very next game. Parsinen, Mitts, and Lehhky scored our only goal today, and it was off the rush.

We are lacking that third dimension on any line for sure, and it's what they default to when they can't snipe it.

Wood actually does bring some net front chaos, but not nearly as dangerous as the obvious two.
I'm concerned about Parsinen. He looks like he should have all the tools necessary to play 3C or wing on line 2. Plus his size and skating. But he doesn't appear to anticipate ... read and react.... quick enough which leaves him a step behind the play.

I don't know (yet) if its laziness or ice awareness. He complains at the linesmen at the face off dot too. That will hurt you in the long run.

But I'll cut him some slack for a bit longer.

That shot today was pretty quick, and his setup to Makar was pretty good. You don't have to be a savant, but you need to be able to do shit like that if you're on a line like that.

Colton not doing those things now is why he's sinking. Mitts is going to find you, and Lehhky is going to go get the puck. It's a good spot for him. Especially with Mitts playing better.

Yeah, I've been pleased with Parsnip the last 2 games. To me, he's looked quicker, in better position, and making better decisions.

It's something we've seen since Bednar got here, it takes a lot of players time to adapt to his system (we were having this same conversation about Drouin 10 games in last year), but once they do it immediately makes them better.

Bednar is underrated at getting guys to break out, if it's possible. Not really something we've given him credit for tbh.

I think having the head coach put legit effort into your game even as a depth player is probably nice. Bednar talks a lot about how they do individual focused work for players.

Yeah everyone shits on Bednar for not playing youth for whatever reason. But if a dude is going to make it as an NHL'er, Bednar will make him an effective player. No one leaves here and breaks out afterwards really.

Nuke.. Lehhky.. LOC.. Toews.. Bura to an extent.

Who else? I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.

Drouin bought in fully against the puck too.
