Really hope they sign Nelson, even if the end of the contract ages poorly . If you are all in , be all in .

Exactly . Lack of assets might just force management to do that anyway like you saidThis organization is going to be in cap hell with no assets in 12-24 months. Might as well give him the 4-5 years he wants and enjoy as much as we can get.
Again, Avs would have a better idea than I would on these players who are realistically available.Curious who you would have targeted instead to resolve the hole at 2C?
I can think of about 300 towns like that within 60 miles of Denver lolAll we got to do is find a property with a log cabin and an abandoned silver mine and he's ours for 4 more years.
Yeah we got a shitload of those!I can think of about 300 towns like that within 60 miles of Denver lol
One thing I loved about his debut is his IQ to find the soft spots of the defence. He seems to know where to go and when to slow his game down.
There’s a lot to like about his game. Nichushkin seems revitalized with him at C.
Nuke needed to be revitalized?
I don’t think he’s played to the way he’s capable of since coming back.
He can be dominant, not just good.
Yeah I was thinking maybe so, some distant ancestor of mine evidently made a Colorado fortune in silver mining so I always think of silver and Colorado. And Nevada, and San Francisco.I can think of about 300 towns like that within 60 miles of Denver lol
You made all these ones up.Others I would have wanted are (not worrying about any cap restrictions):
- A. Protas
- I. Protas
- Kasper
- Nazar
- M. Hage
Must still be pissed about losing in the 4 nations lolLove the addition but I don't think they should heavily consider what was given up when it comes to potentially re-signing him. That's how you really get yourself into trouble and give all the leverage to the player/agent. He'll be 34 at the start of the next season so the three-year deal the Isles reportedly offered seems more than reasonable and if he wants more then just let him walk. Plus, searching for a new second line center every year has become somewhat of a tradition!
Dreger did say the Avs were his top choice but he also mentioned that in the context of the Canadian teams. He said the Leafs and Jets really wanted Nelson but it was made clear to them he didn't want to go to Canada.
