Almost as good of a bromance as Georgiev and Annunen had.
Wedgewood as an Av(6 games): .932 sv %
Blackwood as an Av(3 games): .938 sv %
So maybe....just maybe... there might have been something that George could have done after all???

-Wedgewood is just the backup we need.
-4th line drew 2 penalties(Innala both), nice work.
-When have I last time seen Avs fight, nice bonus
-So no high stick on the play with Mack?!?
And what is it with these 3 games on 4 days again
The guys looked gassed and still came up with a win..

We have the 9th best record in the Conference and that's a fact. Don't get fooled by the fact we played a lot more games than others. That's the point. We are not out of the wood, it's not the time to feel warm and fuzzy about the standings.

No they don’t. The NHL bases ranking on points, not point percentage. That’s why the Avs are 3rd in the central on the NHL site even though Dallas has a higher P%.
Nice to see that just one month ago, the AVS were 4 points behind Dallas (now 2 points up), 7 points behind Minnesota (now 4) and 12 points behind Winnipeg (now only 7)

That said, nice win. I guess you would have expected these 2 games to be a win even with old goalie tandem, but isnt it great to be abe to say that despite 2 goals conceded, goalie was faultless?
