Been saying it for awhile but this season isn't just on goaltending. Even with all the injuries there's no way this team should look this bad.

I kinda wanna laugh at the people who said Nichushkin makes the team go from awful to great by himself, just because we started winning last year when he came back. Now it's the opposite. It turns out that a data set of 1 isn't very reliable for making predictions.

Awhile back I said the Avs needed to go 42-25-10 to finish the season and make 8th seed.
Since then they've gone 11-8-1.
That leaves us with 31-17-9 left. Avs are barely playing.500 hockey since their fail of a season opener. There's no chance they can play over .600 the rest of the season.
Only 1 or 2 teams under the line after Thanksgiving ever make it into the playoffs. Enjoy 9th or 10th seed everyone.

That 4th Sabres goal shows how unbelievably poor defensively Nathan MacKinnon is.
He doesn't recognize ANYTHING happening and always looks confused.
You obviously live with it because he's Nathan MacKinnon but man, this guy has never looked like he's missed Gabriel Landeskog more in his life.

Better than this seasons's Georgiev sure. Almost anyone in the league is. But Kuemper wasn't that great when he played with us, and in the last two seasons Georgiev even beats him in save%. The main difference between Kuemper and Georgiev is a 2M extra cap hit.
