Huh. Interesting info there in the postgame scrum talking to Rachel. The equipment guys cut off a lot of the lower part of his chest protector following his injury because it made him uncomfortable and he’s crediting that with helping his current play. Figured that out during the break according to him.
Who you talking about? Drouin?

I'm not taking anything from this game other than the win.

Would it have been nice to Globetrotter the Hawks? Sure. But the Avs clearly played down to their level and still came away with the W.

PK was fantastic which is a good takeaway, especially without LOC and Kelly. Coyle especially looks like a tremendous penalty killer.

Move on and get ready for Minnesota tomorrow night.

Not a great night for the 2nd line as we could see with our own eyes. Drouin good defensively, but nothing from Val and Nelly.

Also, according to this, Lindgren-Manson were an absolutely elite shutdown pairing that contributed zero offense. Crazy defensive analytics for them.

Second line did nothing tonight, but it was just one of those weird games.

I saw what I needed to see from them in the Toronto game. Effort/execution was pretty low for a lot of guys tonight.

I’ve been saying man, Lindgren is low key decent. Don’t say it too loudly, but the hate for that trade was wild. Guy seems better than advertised.

Sure it was a warm day, but I wa under the impression that its the humidity that makes it really beccome a problem. Denver is still pretty dry even if temps are getting warmer.
Humidity is definitely the enemy of the NHL ice guy, I know it’s dry as hell in Denver but if heat didn’t play a role and only humidity did then Denver would have the best ice in the league every year and we’ll, they don’t. I remember when Marc Crawford didn’t hide a bit of his disdain over the Big Mac ice when they first got to Colorado.

Also, it’s no secret that having to switch from basketball to hockey and back is hard on the ice, the long homestand along with some Nuggets games in there probably didn’t help.

From my extremely hazy memory, it always seemed like the ice was decent until they upgraded the jumbotron.

Lindgren is better than Holden and Graves. I’ll take it cuz they were (supposedly) low key decent too.
