That goal is 100000000% on Girard. I cannot comprehend how poorly he played that entire sequence holy shit
He’s made 4-5 horrible turnovers in the defensive zone today already. Not sure how the play offs factor into that.

Bad period, bad goal against, and bad defencing… 0/10, would not watch again
The rush before the goal was great and all, but sometimes it really is better to just dump and make the change. Especially when your away, in the 2nd with the far change and up by one.

Been watching, but my night to make dinner. Avs looked good in 1st, ok in 2nd. Georgy looks great. Tge PK appears to be better, but still expecting a PPG against here to nake it 2-1.
These refs are terrible. 2 penalties on Avs that were both Rag players bodying up to Avs and then falling down. 2 trips on Rags on one shift, neither called cause Avs were ahead at the time. The HS called on Rags that was Avs own stick.

Yeah… doesn’t make sense. He did exactly what keeps the Avs dangerous. Newhook and Nuke both bailed on backchecking… they were gassed, but that was bad. G was at least back.people blaming G for that last goal

It was a 3 on 2 from the red line in... Of course someone was open. Not a single forward came back the entire way and Newhook glided from blue line to blue line.
It's honestly like some of you never f***ing played hockey in your lives.

Mental mistakes all over the place. Good thing we've got plenty of games to iron them out before the playoffs begin.
[edit...If our players are going to error though, I like that the default is to error on the side of being aggressive offensively. I can really respect that on some level.]

That was a bad pinch by G at the end of a shift, and an equally bad dive right before the pass across for the goal.

First the bad shot missing wide in the slot and then does the belly flop at the defensive end. He played it terribly all around.
It doesn't help that his D partner is at best still playing himself back into shape or at worst completely washed and barely an NHL caliber player.
Pretty sure we lead the league in points from d-men. Something is wrong with the team defense for sure though
