Hard work is what lead to many of the wins in the early season - yes, it will only get you so far - without it, you don't have a chance.Hard work will only get you so far. If you don't have the skill to back it up, hard work is meaningless. The Jets have to work extraordinarily hard to score goals. That's a type of game they play. Nothing looks easy for them. I'm not surprised they're tired.
Bring back Paul Maurice and get HFJets Hall of Famer Lee Stempniak to come out of retirement...
Why it’s non political it’s…I’d be censored for that.
If both your top 6 centers, top 6 winger and franchise goalie are all free agents in a little more than a year from now, that's a rebuild in the making.Pulling Helle when the team in front of him would be complete shit without him isn't that big of a deal. Some of you reach... but, a theme with this group has seemed to have developed, it's not just this season. Cleansing the core wouldn't be a bad thing. Retool not rebuild.
17 game stretch of .500 isn't ideal, and not like what we had before, but it's far from an inconceivable 'low roll' for even a top team. And like I said, the team absolutely needs some reinforcements by the TDL. But this is far from a bad team. Did you see Shayna Goldman's (objective, stats-based) breakdown of the pieces the Jets have relative to what cup winners have? We're far from a disaster. And suffice it to say, MILES from "blow it all up".

A far bigger problem is the inconsistency among the "stars." Look at Colorado's roster tonight. They have 11 forwards and about 7 of them are not top 6 quality guys (some have inflated boxcar stats because they've been playing a lot of top 6 with injuries).Maybe we don't want Chevy to make a deal? He's going to need to bring in 3 forwards and a d-man. Almost everyone on the 3rd and 4th lines shouldn't be playing.

That forecheck has completely disappeared.Hard work is what lead to many of the wins in the early season - yes, it will only get you so far - without it, you don't have a chance.
Well I'm not advocating blowing it all up really. But I defnitely don't feel like this team is going far in the post season...
Sigh... now I'm sad.
Every year, every team is very unlikely to not win the cup. Just having a ticket to the dance and a dominant player in a key position to have a puncher's chance is worth a lot more than it looks.
3AM country skillets were the bestColorado looks like they haven’t eaten for a week, while the Jets are just waddling out of the Country Kitchen Buffet. No hunger at all.

Long COVID = Vaccine injury.
We’re making them look scary good.Even without Makar this team is scary good

Not trading the likes of Morrissey or Perfetti doesn't not make it so.
