Looks like we are working on 69m as the Salary Cap.
Edit: Cap Floor looks to be 51m

I will need to relinquish my duties as Detroit Red Wings GM, as I will not be able to access a computer for the next several months.....

Therefore, whomever wants to replace me for the upcoming free agency period, may.

For RFAs, if the actual AAV is higher are we still making the team honor that contract?

Now that the draft is over, I propose my contracts:

Ryan Johansen 8 years at 5.75m per
Corey Tropp 1 year at 750k
Matt Frattin 1 year at 900k
Tim Erixon 2 years at 1m (900k the 1st year 1.1m the 2nd year)
Dalton Prout 1 year at 1m

The rest of the RFAs given/signed qualifying offers

FYI:
Prout looked to be re-signed during the draft, but no details yet on $$$

I think Erixon will get more than 1m, but I can't say it will be substantially more, so all those look pretty good to me.

Yes. Like above with UFAs as well.

Noticed that... Updated with the numbers I saw from Portzline.

I think we should for RFAs and UFAs. Makes for a little bit of danger when under bidding your RFAs.

I don't agree with UFAs, as so many trades have happened it affects their value.

RFAs I definitely agree though.

Longest contract is 7 years with new CBA I thought?

8 for re-signing with your current team.

Ah, I still think the contract is a bit off, I think at his age he'd prefer something around a 5-6 year contract, 5.75 is too low at the current length when you factor in it shaving off 2-3 UFA years.

Chicago's RFA Offer
Jeremy Morin - 2 yr/1 mil

Pretty sure Chicago didn't qualify the rest of their RFAs.

I think some teams would look at Larsson as being worth 2nd round or maybe even 1st and 3rd round compensation level offer sheets. Larsson may be inclined to sign one after being shuttled around so far in his Devils tenure. I think that offer may need to be bumped up

I was using a similar theory to the Landy deal, but with an extra year. Include the bridge contract and have the big money years at the end. I don't care though if the contract is for 5-6 years instead.

I think 6yrs is fair. Security if he does not blow up, but not too long he'll miss on a big payday down the line if he does.

I'm good with these. That is a big chance on Larsson though. I imagine he gets a cheap 1 year prove it deal.
