yeah if you think losing your money is funIf a betting site still had the Rocket winner options open, might be fun to throw a few dollars on McDavid.

Losing money doesn’t sound all that fun to me
you'd have better a chance making money playing roulette at the casinoI'd think it'd be a pretty easy win-win. You get the satisfaction of seeing a Leaf win the rocket or you'd get what is likely a really nice payout for a small cost. Way better odds than a lottery ticket, and a desirable outcome even when losing!
It not being likely is the reason for the favourable payout. Though, I wouldn't count McDavid out as foregone conclusion just yet.you'd have better a chance making money playing roulette at the casino
He couldnt hold his stick at some points this year......that isnt good. Did you see that nhl.com article?
Yep.
Yep.
Why was he even playing then? Doesn't make much sense.
Matthews' success this season is not only an indication of his ability to overcome adversity, but his commitment to trying to be the best player in the NHL, one that gained momentum with offseason tweaks to fitness and diet.
"It's not so much that you got knocked down, it's what are you going to do, how are you going to get off the mat, how are you going to respond?" Brian said. "And Auston, I think, has really taken that to heart."

Wholesome content
I really hope you’re right. Leafs are built to be competitive for a long time and that should keep him here. Only place I see him going is one of the Cali teams if they start rounding out their rebuild. But I think he’ll stay in T.O.And he's going to give all that up as a UFA to go to ... Arizona?
Not a chance.
Elite players like him, Crosby, McDavid, Eichel want to be the very best, and win. For the latter two, the frustration in not winning is clear. Auston has it good in Toronto and he knows it. As long as the team is competitive each year and he believes they have a good chance to win, he's not going anywhere.
Ar rhw time didn't they say it was the type of injury that use wouldn't make it worse>Why tf were we playing him in this case?
Risks butchering his wrist for the long-term for nothing gained

Exactly. The doctors also said it was fine that he was playing when it wasn't 100%. Certainly looks like his wrist is feeling better now, so I guess the people who are qualified to do their job made the right decisions.I think the time being referenced in the article is when he sat out for like a week or two and had has weak shot for another week or two
I doubt the Leafs would make him play through an injury. It was probably his call on the pain.

Just wanted to stop in and give an early congratulations to Matthews for his first of hopefully many Rockets. Just let Ovi have one more cup plz.![]()
It feels like it's still not 100%. I think our PP struggles are directly tied to it... we still have a format that optimizes his shot off the wing, but he hasn't sniped as many like that recently. It's crazy to think that this might not actually be his peak in scoring.I wish we had a way of knowing where his wrist at now. I still don't see the laser beam shot he used to have. And I'd love to know how it happened and whether the Andersson take down was the main cause or just made it worse (or not).
McDavid may catch him, Vancouver pulling their goalie every game, even with 7 minutes to go. McDavid already cashed in 1 empty netter.Nice jinx
Seriously though, McD is capable of catching him, I won't feel confident until the final game is over. And with three more games against a Canucks team that now looks like they've packed it in early, all bets are off.
