meh. the only difference in their points comes from the PP really.

Our team ruined Matthews stats with our garbage PP.

he ruins himself on the PP. He's never been particularly good on the powerplay. No where close to as dominant as other elite players feel/are. I'd say its the weakest part of his game these days. Its also hard to really become a dominant special teams player when the team clearly has other players designated to controlling that aspect (Marner/Nylander spent most the time playmaking, or Rielly botching plays). So i'd say its at least 50/50 on his lack of PP success in comparison to high scoring peers

He spent ~3 seasons incapable of T-ing up 1 timers that guys like Ovechkin/Stamkos/Pastrnak bread and butter

Matthews is an extremely unselfish player which is not something you can say often about a leading goal scorer, and it is probably detrimental to his points totals. Which is bizarre, considering hes already a 50+ capable goal scorer while giving up plenty of opportunities in favor of making a play

It's just crazy how many people's perceptions of Matthews are vastly skewed due to the fact that he's not had much powerplay time for a player of his caliber.

Just a cherry picker hanging out in the neutral zone.

Stonehands, low hockey IQ and no vision, blind as a mole...only thing he could do is skate like a figure skater, couldn't even do a single loop with a two-foot landing if his life depended on it...:sarcasm:

Wholesome content

Just three more years until he gives up being the most famous person in a major media market, boatloads of (front-end paid) cash, endorsements, an elite team he's grown close to, world-class dining and entertainment and a literal ocean of top shelf p***y to go play in Arizona - which is both literally and figuratively a hockey desert.

With four more games against the Canucks and two games in hand, the 8 goal cushion isn't looking like a lock.

Connor “It’s only a number” Mcdavid is going so try hard to get 100 points that he’ll probably get 105 or something.

If he uses up all his puck luck to achieve his regular season goals then it will eventually run out for a bit for him just in time for the playoffs.

He needs 8 goals in 6 games just to tie Matthews now, and Matthews still has 4 games to go so
