Play and be a big factor (McD, Mack, Crosby, Tkachuk, Eichel, Werenski, Helle)

Don’t play, be invisible and than get hurt

This just builds another excuse for when he comes back and isn’t playing up to standard.

Over-coddled and to quote shorey they love winning more than hate losing. Neither one IMO have the drive to take this team to the next level. In our entire recent playoffs history neither of them have put this team on their back. If McDavid is contemplating testing free agency we need to do everything in our power to sign him. If that's true and I doubt it is, Marner should probably do the same because he is the one that needs to save face.

I think people are reading a bit too much into this. Like M. Tkachuk, I think Matthews is not playing because this game means absolutely nothing.
