AUDIO - Cam Neely looses it on 98.5 as Felger and Mazz pound him with questions

Yes. Clode rolled 4 lines with equal mins. Give segs pp time

Or you trade krejci. I repeatly stated we should of picked seguin over krejci

Or have seguin center and krejci as the RW

You do realize this would have virtually assured no Stanley Cup, right? :amazed:

And following your Seguin-centering-Krejci suggestion, you should've just dropped your mic.

And there we have it. :biglaugh:

That's what you took from it,how he publicly speaks? He was very measured in his responses, not able to give honest answers without throwing someone else under. He was pissed, but controlled,I was okay with it. He's sick of the stupid effin questions and he said so.

Totally agree. Neely said what he could. There were several times when a fullly frank answer would have been taken as a cheap shot. Why all this obsession about who's calling the shots? It's obviously a collaborative thing, with Neely having the final say. So ultimately it's on Neely. CJ and JJ both said that, Neely said it. Why keep asking him if it's really true?

I liked the question about Chiarelli. Neely gave a strange answer -- what's that all about?

I would have preferred more questions about personnel, free agents, etc.

I thought so too,and he did tell them to go back and look at the Chiarelli hiring PC I think and see what someone says??

Well it's a joke krejci is still favored over seguin

No team would take krejci as center over seguin as center

2013 Krejci vs. 2013 Seguin?

Or 2016 Krejci vs. 2016 Seguin?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I'd wager 99% of other teams would of used 2013 Krejci at C over 2013 Seguin.

Problem is 98% of other teams just would of kept both of them.

When you throw the F bomb on radio you have lost it.

Ehh, sometimes a F bomb slips out. I didn't think it was that bad. I think Cam Neely losing it looks and sounds a lot different than that.

I think he's having a difficult time speaking because they are choosing their words very carefully right now.

Now? Well duh! Just like nobody in 2013 would have taken Seguin over Krejci. But congrats on the 20/20 hindsight. It's easy to be Carnac when you already know what happens.

Went back and listened to it again. I think I'm more mad that it was those two that were grilling Cam. I'll tell you what, he told them more than any other exec would. Don Sweeney should be doing these. They were good questions. Don't know if they ask the same with other teams execs. I think he said a lot.

He should be like Belichek and tell them nothing. You can tell he doesn't want to throw anyone under the bus.

Who doesn't love Cam Neely the player! But, Cam Neely the prez seems off to me. He's in the deep end of the pool and barely treading water.

Anyone saying Cam should not tell them anything a la BB must realize the difference is the Pats are winners. BB could literally sew his own mouth shut and tattoo the words "next question" on his lips and nobody would say boo. But Cam and the Bruins owe us fans answers.

Cam is to fiery to be President of the Bruins -I'd like to see them bring in Neil Smith. He is great on NHL network and wouldn't snap at poor Felger

Bruins President Cam Neely gets very agitated while answering questions surrounding the Bruins' collapse for a second straight year.

Cam admits he could have stopped the Seguin trade but he got angrier and angrier as Felger and Mazz pound him with questions.

Man..... Some fans around here would absolutely wither, and I mean wither with Brian Burke at the helm. That wasn't exactly out of control.:shakehead

Whether you like the guy or not, he's an uber competitor and obviously is pissed they aren't in the playoffs. And he's right, at the end of the day, as long as the hierarchy within the team knows who is doing what it really doesn't matter what the press, or the fans for that matter, thinks about that specific issue is irrelevant.

I think Patriots fans have a bit tougher skin if that interview really stands out as overly emotional or angry. Bill Belichik is not emotional but surly. Bill Parcells was emotional and surly.

This. So much this. The guy is a great cheerleader, but he's too emotional to run things. Imagine Lucic running things? What makes BB of the Pats so good is that he doesn't have any emotion.

Bill Parcells says "don't frigging forget about me God Damn it".

The real problem is Bruins defence stinks. Not one question about backend.Neely will be fired in near future too in my opinion.Just not a smart president.Anyone near that Seguin deal I want far from Bruins.

I know he smarter than a lot of people.

I love it. He's obviously pissed that his Bruins aren't in the playoffs.

He wasn't going to play the game... I'm totally down with it.

I don't know if he's a good executive or not. Don't know enough about what he does. But I do appreciate that he's the one guy in that position who would care as much as I do about the Bruins. Pissed when they lose. Ecstatic when they win.

Does he have a choice? Isn't 98.5 the flagship station of the Bruins?

I had thought the player and management interviews were optional until reading this thread -- that is very interesting.

Maybe Thornton can retire and come back as a scout and do the interviews. He gets along with Felger but is also fairly intelligent.

Cam may very well be a good executive. But, a CEO should at least be able to handle the media and articulate the position of the organization, not stumble, constantly clearing his throat and be led into traps by idiots.

As for Seguin, the reports of Mrs. J. Calling for his trade come from some reliable sources. He behaved like a jerk which was more than just missing or being late from some practices. Cj probably had his antics up to his ears and demanded he be moved. It was up to Neely, who admits he had the authority to stop the trade, to assert his authority and tell his crew that Tyler is a young, talented player who needs to be handled differently from others. Playing him at center to enhance his natural strengths would have been a start.
