Happy thanksgiving guys! ;)

Atlantic avg, 0.576 (182 points/159 games)
Metro avg. 0.562 (182 points/162 games

That Thanksgiving Top8 team percentage to hit the playoffs was 76.3% from 2005.

I wonder what is the probability, if you are at Conference Top4 on thanksgiving? :)

PITT, NYR, WSH, FLA are all going to move up soon in my opinion. WSH is actually doing good considering having 4 or 5 regulars out of the lineup, PIT always seems to start slow, which seems to be the case with a lot of the good teams.

Those three are good, and will be on the battle, but nothing indicates WSH will see a rise.

WSH will get some of their guys back and start playing better. Even with the injuries, against us they were still the better team for chunks of the game.

Those are not doing favors for them....

FLO... lost from 1-4 lead, 5-4 at OT for Blues. 1 point.
NYR... lost from 3-0 lead, 3-4 for Oilers. 0 points.
PIT... lost 1-4 for TOR.
WSH... lost 5-1 for NJD.

Those teams at playoff race are doing worse than us all the time. Let them suffer and suck! :P

Pittsburgh lost Letang indefinitely. Barkov is having some illness and Florida is struggling. Everybody has own problems.

Each of these OT/shootout losses hurts. These loser points add up. They need to turn their fortunes around in OT and shootouts.

In 2025 hopefully.
Yeah, Idk if you watched it but two post in a row! Super rough... I just shake my head idk what to really say.

Hopefully this year, what the heck you don't want to make the playoffs?

They’re back in an Atlantic playoff spot with tonight’s win against Tampa.

It’s extremely impressive they’re doing this without Bertuzzi, Vrana, and Fabbri.

Seider and Raymond too. They really struggle big time.

Husso, Larkin and Hronek carry this team

Next game also very important against Florida.

They also struggle with injuries, Barkov, Lundell, Duclair, Hörnqvist out. Also Gudas missing from defence.

Also replacing Weegar from last year team with Marc Staal is a huge downgrade. Also lost Huberdeau + Mason Marchment, and got only M.Tkachuk back.

It's just so much lesser team currently, compared to last season great offensive team.

Would be nice to build the gap for Panthers team.

I keep waiting for the collapse to happen, thought that home stand would be it. We're not only hanging on but solidifying ourselves in the playoffs, especially with a win against Florida tomorrow. 2 wins against two good divisional opponents we're competing with for spots would be a huge step.

Yeah the win vs the Lighting was really nice, but a win against the Panthers is huge now with them struggling in both health and points. Time to try and burry them a bit if we can!

Last night was an incredible game to watch and overall amazing effort from everyone.

Just wait until Bertuzzi, Vrana, Fabbri are all healthy.

Bertuzzi - Larkin - Raymond
Kubalik - Copp - Perron
Vrana - Rasmussen - Fabbri
Berggren - Veleno - Sundvist

that is a solid playoff team and could do some serious damage

I would rather see :

Bertuzzi - Larkin - Raymond
Kubalik - Copp - Perron
Vrana - Rasmussen - Berggren
Fabbri - Veleno - Sundvist

Imagine Vrana getting feeds from Berggren, that would be some good 3rd line!

Been a while since anyone updated this thread, I guess that's understandable because things really haven't gone our way.

Are we willing to concede Buffalo might be the real deal now though? Healthy again and currently outscoring the entire league.

Pretty sure we will be switching over to a tank tracker thread in the next month or so. Will be interesting to see if we are sellers at the TDL, and who we consider moving.

Our underlying metrics are pretty bad. We are bottom 5 in the league in shots for in all situations. Only Arizona, Columbus, and Chicago are worst. Not good company to keep. And then our goaltending situation has been falling apart the last 1-2 months.

Unless things change in a big way like ... Bert coming back gives a huge spark to our offense, or one of our goalies catches fire... we are probably looking at the bottom falling out and being a seller, yet again.

Quite tight race now.

There's clear Top3 in both Eastern Divisions, but then that group from 7th (PIT) to 12th (OTT) is not far away from each other.
