I've seen a ton of comments on multiple platforms about how the Kings media doesn't ask the hard questions.

I can't promise that anything written in this thread will wind up being asked to anybody of consequence but put any question in this thread and let's see what happens.

And I know it will be ignored but feel free to NOT ask "dur hur why do they suck" etc

I have my reasons.
People are frustrated but the blame really isn’t on the media. Not many questions that require answering or clarity. Even questions I’d ask I get the reasoning. Not sure the team will be held accountable for much at this point aside from fans not going. Team isn’t putrid just disappointing because the potential is there to be better. Not sure if a Canadian market would be any harder on them just that the focus would be a spotlight as opposed to a laser pointer.

What do you want for Festivus?

Seriously, the hard questions:

1-Why hasn't something been done about the D.
We have too many average players. This is a sexual hookup parallel- we need quality over quantity. We did it with the F and that ginger f*** Wagner is in Ontario. Now it needs to happen with some D. They are in over their heads.

2-I am afraid of the future in goal. Can we bring Dusty Imoo back?

3-When is something going to be done about the D?

Goaltending and defense have been “below-average” most of the season, what are you going to do about it?.

I remember Freidman with a GM quote saying they'd like to make trades but they can't because it's so tight; what has their experience been, are GMs sitting pat for deadline cap space or for standings to shake out?

1. - have the players started tuning out Todd. Obviously Todd’s strategies are not working. Man to man is a mess, the PK is beyond awful. Goaltending and Defence are Swiss cheese. His OT decisions and in game adjustments are horrid. Have they started to look for a new head coach?

2. - Lombardi was partially fired for being too attached to certain players. Is Blake and Company going down that same road. We are constantly not icing our best team and constantly playing people out of position just to protect bottom pairing Defenceman and forwards. Case in point. Why play Walker when he is clearly struggling. It moves Durzi to his off side or it blocks Spence. If someone claims Walker that is clearly a win by saving cap room. I am sure you can polish this mess of a question.

3. - why is Blake sitting on his hands? Going into this season goaltending and Defence or lack of good left shot defense was a clear issue. Why is it taking so long to address? 30 games in we are not playing as a team and not making the play offs.

4. - how many times is Durzi going to be allowed to lose games and play while other prospects like Fagemo come in, play well and never see the ice again?

What’s the definition of insanity? Same 3 players to start in OT. (Durzi got the special appearance tonight!) I wouldn’t even be mad if it was 3 rookies and we lost, but it is a kick in the balls to see the same 3!

How much do you think giving Bailey a touchup is helping the team out? Can we improve the on ice product by getting the ice girls longer handles on their shovels? Does Dieter need an assistant?

The ups & downs are starting to get to Faust. Does he need a sports psychologist to help get him through the season?

When is Brown taking over GM duties?

I don’t really have a question but maybe someone can form one out of this? As fans we’ve been frustrated with the PP, the PK and general team toughness for years. The criticism has been there through multiple coaches, and though they’ve shouldered the blame, the one constant with the roster has been the “core” players and their “leadership.” Has that not been observed by the front office?

Think this would be a solid question without looking combative- given the last 3 or 4 OTs that resulted in quick OT losses- has there been any discussion of starting the OT with some other combo?

With all due respect Jesse- every other questions is going to look combative and accusatory. That said- any thoughts to moving any other RHD to play the left over Durzi given his +/- is the worse on the team? Any thoughts of calling up Spence given Walker has the 2nd worst +/- on the team?

Given the current age structure of the roster, is the organization starting to reach a consensus about which of the younger players in the system fit into the long-term vision for the team?

With few rosters spots available and some notable prospects losing waiver exemptions soon, at what point does the team start using assets to improve areas of the current roster that could be strengthened, such as the defense and goaltending?

Hopefully these don’t get put in the basket of the too hard category but I’m genuinely interested in:

What is our goal for this year with respect to the balance of winning now/gradual improvement/improving the roster/experience for the younger players?

How is the market for trades at the moment? Are teams still waiting to see where they are at? The price is too high (ask is a first in an attractive draft year)?

How beneficial has the hiring of the mental health advisor been for the club?

We have a number of players who are waiver eligible next year. What is the plan there? Perhaps it makes sense to trade some prospects for picks to roll the pipeline forward. Or use them to upgrade the roster.

At this point, outside of expletives, I think the fanbase is pretty speechless in the sense that everything that needs to be said has been said and the generality of what needs to be done is so blatantly obvious that it is impossible for management to be ignorant of it. If any one of us were before Blake and had a chance to ask him anything, the same questions would be asked and the same diplomatic dodges would be returned and we would be left with befuddled, stupifying, dumbfounded silence as "The Plan" swirls around the toilet bowl.

Great questions bro!

Five random auestiins:

With the geopolitics going on does it change the approach going into the draft this year and will they avoid Russians?

If they kept #19 doubt they admit it, but who would they have taken or were they looking at?

Is there a specific duo or trio they see as the future first line?

Our PK was great for years and we changed it. We now have a passive diamond, which has been terrible. Why continue and not go back to what worked?

They tried trading up to get Wallstedt. When they did the Fiala trade was there discussions and did it ever get closer to including Wallstedt?
