That's good timing for me. I'm going to bed right around then so should be able to make my pick after you. I'm also looking at two guys.Pick coming within the hour. Deciding between two guys. Leaning one way but want to go over a few more things first.
I like Gadsby. He's the first defenseman I ever drafted. He's a guy that can take on different roles as he's requested to. I feel like most of the time you're going to want him focusing on his offensive capabilities, but it's my understanding that in Detroit, he was quite a fine shutdown man. I believe you can shift him as the situation in the game is and he remains relevant.Well, my list of D was ravaged..but I suppose that's bound to happen when I wait for the 4th round to draft one. Again, doing things a bit differently this year since I went goalie round 1. Still, I'm very happy to get this player here. A guy I think you could make the case for going a bit earlier, and one I think is still absolutely a 1D in a 20-team draft even if he isn't in the upper end of that. He's underrated in my book. I think he fits what I'm hoping to build quite well. He's one tough motherf***er, and his two-way abilities are exactly what I was looking for.
One of the premiere offensive defensemen of the O6 era, and a guy who could be just as effective away from the puck..Baltimore selects Bill Gadsby, D
