Ridiculous.
Watch some videos.
I'll link some.

He played mostly on the right side in Edmonton.
In Pittsburgh mostly on the left.

This isn't debatable. So evidence should clear it up.

80% right side, 20% left side.

He's on the left side here in a zone start even, where you'd think he'd want to have a one-timer...

I'm not saying you're wrong, but when was Coffey RD?

He played right a lot in Detroit, Coffey was paired with Chiasson (he won't be drafted I think) initially on the right, with Lidstrom also he played the right a lot, in Edmonton and Pittsburgh I've seen him on both sides, more on the left in Pittsburgh.

I'm speaking even strength of course, powerplay usage varies, and there are notable cases of strictly lefties playing left, who play the right on the powerplay (I'm looking to draft one of these guys lol)

The Hockey Scouting Report did call out defenseman sidedness (earlier in the series as well), which is helpful as a source.

Been editing one of the games recently (Wings @ Sabres February 24th 1993) Coffey plays a lot (Wings get into a big hole early), some on both left and right with Chiasson (powerplay especially), also with Lidstrom, both left and right... Coffey is really all over the place lol, he does seem to start off more on the left in this game though, and then drifts a lot during play to the right where the partner just takes the left side

He had one terrible year in Pitt and one great year (defensively). Maybe he's better on one side?

Generally there are some offensive advantages of having a lefty a puck carrying D play on the right, of course, it's easier to keep the zone and clear out when you're on the proper side.

@Leaf Lander has sent me his 2 picks via FB for the Toronto Maple Leafs!

Bill Quackenbush, D

latest

Alex Delvecchio, LW/C

You never seen Quackenbush play
Nice try tho

A hockey hall of fame member since 1976.
He is considered the nik lidstrom of his day a 2 way player who excelled in his position. Using his high hockey iq to positional beat the opposition.
He will fit nicely with Tim Horton

You do realize that everything said about him since you picked him has been positive right? Including a comparison to Lidstrom?

Chicago selects Erik Karlsson, D

Karlsson has had injury trouble , but his peak is amazing with 2 Norris wins and 2 runner-ups.
His big game resume is good too, highlighted by that amazing 2017 Playoff run with Ottawa as well as being name Best Dman at the 2014 Olympics (which was not during one of the above 4 Norris finalist years).

The Admirals select the 11th best RWer according to the HOH project (yet 16th here), the easily all-time most prolific scorer in Olympic history (both career points and game-winning goals), the strong, fast, playmaker known as the Finnish Flash: Teemu Selanne!
