I don't want to dock Tony an hour for a skip since we technically didn't know if papershoes had wished to be auto skipped with this last pick. He had asked to be skipped for his Renfrew pick but not this one for Kenora.

Anyway I sent Tony a message earlier on FB.

So technically speaking,

papershoe's clock would have run out at 5:01 AM EST this morning. I moved him to a -2 because this last pick for Kenora he got 7 hours. Even though he had been skipped more than once, all but 1 skip was voluntary. So PS will be at a -2 moving forward.

Tony has been on the clock since 5:01, so he'd have until 1:01 PM EST to pick.

Like as TDMM said Jamie Benn is far better and way more deserving than the rest of that group.

- Top-10 in his league in points seven times (10th-PCHA-1920, 3rd-PCHA-1921, 1st-PCHA-1922, 4th-NHL-1923, 7th-NHL-1924, 6th-NHL-1925, 5th-NHL-1926)

Jack Adam's peak PCHA seasons 1921 and 1922 are probably at the weakest time in PCHA/western hockey history, I'd take those with a grain of salt

Edit: Much like the discussion on Stewart at LW, which I've shown he played almost 2 full season at a high level at the position. If possible I'd love to know exactly how much LW Adam's played. I see TDMM's comment about the game summaries from Trail, but where did Adams play during his two big seasons?

I’ll do some further research and see what I can uncover. I know he was primarily a C of course, but he’s always listed as C/LW in these. And I believe he’s slotted at LW on rosters often enough anyways - including yourself just a few months ago in the MLD. But these kinds of picks will always be questioned if they aren’t playing at their main position. Which I suppose is fair. I guess Van and I will have to live with that. We like what he brings as a winger.

Sorry for the confusion. Consider this message an opportunity to skip any Kenora and Renfrew picks for the remainder of the draft (I'll send some lists once I get a chance to make them).

With the skipped picks,

Renfrew selects SI GRIFFIS -- Defence
Kenora selects BRAD RICHARDS -- Centre

Thanks for the update PS. Hope all is well sir. Got the OP updated with those 2 selections.

Ah yes, Sturm has been for a few years. We care more about LD/RD now than we did even 2 years ago.

We used to not care enough. Do we care too much now?

Always good to see you back, @Sturminator. Seventieslord and I were just wondering if you'd stop by this year.
Thanks. I'm cool with caring about where defensemen played. I think in the past we tended to gloss over it a bit because the information was hard to gather and we still had so much more exciting research to do. Guess I'd have gone with Jimmy Thomson there if I was thinking about a top pairing RD. Leaf Lander would certainly like that top pairing.

Hey, since it looks like Pominville Knows isn't coming back, I'd like to re-name the team the Spokane Canaries. If the re-name causes to many problems, I can stay with MountainLake, however.

And since I can't update the roster, here that is so far:
Cy Denney-Wayne Gretzky-George Armstrong
Bob Pulford-Phil Watson-Aleksandr Maltsev
XXX-Ryan O'Reilly-Eric Nesterenko
XXX-XXX-XXX
XXX-XXX

Valeri Vasiliev-Harry Cameron
Mark Giordano-PK Subban

Hap Holmes

When I took Keon and Toews as my top two centers, I was hoping for somebody like Pierre Turgeon to fall, but that wasn't to be.

I'll take Jason Spezza

Going for some physicality on my defense here and a former team mate in real life of Mario's and pick Ulf Samuelsson
