Eskimos selects Peter Forsberg, C

Double bollocks, back to the drawing board for me.....personally I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Heh, I remember throwing together a list of the top centers of all time without putting much thought into it, and you went ballistic over how high I listed Forsberg and Crosby.
Forsberg must've been very high for me to do that. Crosby? Yeah, overrated/projection.

Anyway, the Whalers breathe a sigh of relief as passing up on Makarov to go for Gadsby and hoping to draft a center for Hull in this round worked out - and select Sergei Fedorov, C, to keep up with Bobby and handle the defensive responsibilities in a pinch.

**** **** ****.

I think Fedorov routinely gets overdrafted in the ATD, but yeah, he really is a great fit with Bobby Hull. And that's not easy to find.

Nayld - Nighbor's a much better player than Fedorov overall, but he doesn't have the speed, no?

Nighbor was very fast, maybe not as fast as Fedorov and Hull, but his skating is one of his most praised physical traits.

Scooped again. The Edmonton Mercurys are proud to select C/LW Alex Delvecchio.

:handclap: Loved watching him play! I've never seen someone protect the puck and absorb hits like he did (which, as I feared and predicted, led to internal injuries). He was a tank on skates. The puck was alive on his stick despite playing in the so-called Dead Puck Era.

Cool story bro, but who's that in the pic?

Lapointe was very high on my list of defensemen, nice pick.

what? Lapointe went already?

Didn't even realize mark started off with 3 forwards. That's ATD blasphemy, but those 3 guys he's started with are damn good :D

I went F, D, F, F when I won. That's pretty forward heavy after 4 picks.

Go where the value is!

Yeah...Boucher belongs somewhere in the Schmidt/Yzerman/Lalonde tier of centers in this thing. I don't like Lalonde as much as you seem to, but part of the reason why is because of how much I've read about his wildness...fouling referees, going nuts, and just generally acting a fool...which is not common knowledge, as far as I know.

He's kinda the Cleghorn of forwards...

Anybody with an upcoming pick who is looking to have an upgrade in other rounds send me a PM, I have pick 100.

The Firebirds are proud to announce their 3rd pick of the ATD 2013!

Teemu Selanne, RW

Better make this pick before i go to bed tipsy:

Zdeno Chara, D.

-two-time 1st team all-star
-three time 2nd team all star
-Norris trophy 2009
-Captain of 2011 champions Boston Bruins
-Largest person in NHL history 6'9'' 260 lbs

Detroit Red Wings proudly select Sidney Crosby, C.

Although I still believe I made the right decision last draft, playing alongside Frank Mahovlich, I still got some flack from people who believed he was picked too early at 115.

I will echo TDMM feelings. I am not Fedorov biggest fan, and I always think he goes too early in those drafts, but for the first time in a while I understand why he's picked at that position. You can hardly find a better centerman for Bobby Hull.

First 'bullocks' of the draft for the Nordiques. We really were looking forward to select him at 88. I'm very surprise to see teams picking up a second defenceman in the third round. The value is absolutely atrocious.

Isn't he a 4 x 2nd Team All-Star? 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012, right?

He was the only defensemen we would have considered at 82. He's the best one left, and would have been nice to have somebody to throw around Gordie Howe
