While I agree that the Flyers should never have signed Konecny to that massive contract (due to where they are in a rebuild)... that is terrible value for a 60-70 point player with grit, attitude, and character. Lekkerimaki is a nice prospect but nowhere near close enough. Lol @ the rest of the deal. If the Flyers were going to trade TK (they're not) they would shop him and get a way better return.

The Flyers aren't, or at least shouldn't be, interested in trading a dollar for five nickels. TK is the kind of piece the Flyers center a deal for EP40 around, not someone we offer for spare parts.

Why is Vancouver buying? With the Miller trade I'd think that at most they're retooling, so adding another big piece like Konecny, while a skilled player, probably doesn't fit our timeline all that well.

I don't understand this at all. I'd rephrase the comment above, but it's still a sort of "dollar for four quarters" type swap at absolute best. And that's being very generous to the Canucks prospects in this deal.

Reality is...there are probably half the teams in the league who would offer a better centerpiece for a guy like Konecny, even with the huge new contract.
