Well. It's time for some WINNER PIE!!! I told Clean Gene during the first intermission that tonight was working on those pecan pinwheels you used to get 8/50 cents, ha! Boys apparently didn't like that scenario. Marchessault and Blankenberg you get first slices but everyone gets whipped cream because that was quite a game. Yeah, Juuse too.

Go Preds!

@vipera1960 I was in the arena and if I hadn't seen the light go off I wouldn't have known it was a goal. It was a few seconds before the Sharks players celebrated and they were delayed in putting the goal on the scoreboard. I think in this one case Willy might have been right.

All he had to do was look at the ref. As a broadcaster with 20+ years experience he should be looking for signals from the official.

And this is actually the thing I find most frustrating about Willy. If this was a baseball or basketball or football play and he didn’t know what happened, he would immediately look to the officials (and what signals they made) to see what the ruling “on the field” (or “on the court”) was going to be. When it comes to hockey though, he just throws his hands up and says “no one knows.”

The jacket is 1-0

@Roman Yoshi Next GDT better be “Jacket Edition”
The Marchessault Jersey is 4-0. You know what to do.

I just watched video on NHL Network and the SJS crew didn't realize it either. Puck was stuck in the net.

Maybe it’s an epidemic. Pete Weber seemed to know it was a goal though. :wally:

That game is the reason I almost never turn one off. I think we had a big five goal comeback against Minnesota many years ago as well.

It's also proof that the regular season does provide entertainment even on random Tuesday matchups between teams going nowhere, and why watching your team win is more fun than rooting for draft position.

On any night you could see your team come back from a 4-5 goal deficit, you could watch your team beat the Cup favorites when half the roster is out from eating bad soup, you could see Eric Nystrom score four goals.

I totally forgot we play theses guys again tomorrow in San Jose. Really weird team to have a home and home with. Assuming we get Askarov

Yeah would guess so, especially considering the game Georgiev just had. Knowing the Preds luck against former players it probably means we get shut out.

Call me crazy but I think Barron is growing on me. The turnover/mishandle last night was egregious, but I am seeing things that make me think he's improving and there could be a really nice player underneath.
