You have to wonder if they ever do win if it will be seen as being 'lucky' or 'the refs gave it to them'?I thought it was the refs this time?
Someone took a wrong turnContinue on the path for this year of Player development first, draft high again next year, trade for Dubois after the 2023 draft
? What are your expectations as a fan this year?Someone took a wrong turn
Are you on the right board? What are your expectations as a fan this year?
Certainly not to draft high or have anything to do with that plug Dubois.? What are your expectations as a fan this year?
Are you on the right board
I mean i agree with everythimg but the dubois part
I am a moron, i thought I was on the main board,Certainly not to draft high or have anything to do with that plug Dubois.
LOL. Good point & question. You have to wonder if they ever do win if it will be seen as being 'lucky' or 'the refs gave it to them'?
It would be nice to face a wildcard team this year. Not that they're pushovers but any boost to our chances is a good thing.I’d like to see a second or third round series for this team. Also push to win the division.
Biggest take away is an improved power play in the playoffs!
It would be interest to see if these odds makers have any sort of success or track record of successful predictionsView attachment 573193
I find it hilarious that, after all of the Strum und Drang -- and a complete hfboards meltdown against the Leafs, both on and off the Leafs board -- the Toronto Maple Leafs are 4th best odds of winning the cup this year, and the odds have... increased.
If the goaltending this year somehow surprises to the upside, that number is going up, too.
Stop buying into the self-hating narrative the other fanbases are feeding you, guys.

Thx……I was genuinely interested
There is a mistaken belief that it is a power ranking of some sort.People really don't understands how sports betting works, eh. This argument is really the weakest of them all.

Team popularity will increase a team's odds, because more people will bet on them regardless, giving more margin of profit to the gambling companies. Pointing to NHL odds as some unbiased, neutral evaluation of talent is absurd, but wouldn't expect any better.

The only thing in that article I would dispute is the first sentence, about "new research shows".People really don't understands how sports betting works, eh. This argument is really the weakest of them all.

To be perfectly FAIR - I would at this point be happy with a first round win, not because of anything else other than just finally winning a round. After what has seemed like decades of utter failure. That doesn't mean that I am not a fan that expects a lineup like ours deserves to be held to the highest standard, because I do - anything other than Stanley Cup winner is not good enough at some point when the talent is there; BUT . . . after not even getting past the first round for this long, you need to take the first step before you dream about the 4th.Improving the goaltending? Which blue chippers? Yeah they're sure built for the playoffs now
Many will - many are ok with losing as long as there's effort and excuses. It's sad really
