Yeah and strome who was basically a bust adjacent player till he came here, is fine with panarin. I just HATE fasth with them. It just doesn't seem to work to me. He's so .. blech.

Unfortunately I don't see anyone obvious to stick there other than lemieux who is hurt.

you can put Zibanejad back there and move strome to wing but it would completely kill the teams depth.

I actually like the strome and center and panarin at wing combo..it just works so well. I think kakko would be ideal for that spot, but he's played very poorly and brings that line down.

Leetch had 9 in 3 games four times in the 90s: 91-92, 93-94, 94-95, and 96-97.

I'm pretty interested in finding the answer to this haha. Unfortunately hockey-reference.com only has game logs back to 79-80.

Found an answer! Messier had 10 points in 3 games in 94-95 (4, 2, and 4 in April). Did anyone do it after that?

That and if Fox could put the shots on net he'd have a few more. Panarin could of easily had 6 assists last night. He was lights out until that one bad pass to ice the game.
If fasth wasn't such a black hole offensively panarin probably has 5 to 10 more points.

Would it surprise anyone watching panarin’s game everynight now if he played well into his 30s ala a Pavel datsyuk.

Panarin’s a smart smart player who stays in phenomenal shape, has a whole lot less wear and tear on his body than 90% of NHLers his age.

Panarin broke the mold with a UFA. He’s a superstar. Why are we sure we aren’t gonna get 7+ years of top notch play.
It would never surprise me there's just no way to predict it other than taking a shitty guess

That's actually not at all what the argument was about.

Look, I get that people have different opinions, and to tell you the truth, I still have long-term concerns about timing and depth.

But if you can't honestly remember what was the source of disagreement, considering the volumes of pages dedicated to this topic, with 90 percent of said pages clearly stating the source, I do have to seriously question if you actually read any of it.

M'Lord @Edge

So many intangibles come from having him. He seems to always be cheerful, win or lose. They feel comfortable enough to just let him be, instead of putting pressure on him by stitching an "A" on his sweater. He serves as an elite player who's right in front of the young guys, who's there every day in front of them, for them to aspire to be.

He has inspired Howden to be all he can be even though he's a soul stealing ginger.

I think calling him Fasth at this point is obnoxious.
It’s his birth name. I’ve always made a point of spelling it that way for that reason

They changed it fast for his jersey dude. What do you think his mail is written to

His name Jesper Fasth. How is it obnoxious to spell it out as it truly is?

Panarin will not be a captain. I've met him a couple times, he's a shy-ish kind of guy and his English isn't strong enough to do those 'Captain things', and I don't think he wants that responsibility.

Zibanejad will pretty obviously be the next captain of the New York Rangers. His personality, culture and even the way he plays the game is better suited for it.

Idk Rangerstown gonna Rangerstown...

They gave Leetch the C even when he basically said "holy shit please god no i don't want it", and the proceeded to play like absolute shit for most of the time thereafter until the traded him when he said "holy shit please god no i don't want it."

He chose to change it. The same way Zuccarello dropped the Aasen and plenty of other players have shortened/Americanized names. I don't really know why you would include the 'h' when it is his decision not to have it. If it was that important to him he would have kept it.

As in I'd take each one of those 3 over Panarin.

Then there's Crosby and Pastrnak. I don't think Panarin is top-5.
I think he’s better than pasta. I doubt pasta would be the same player if he wasn’t playing next to the best all around center in the game and the games most talented rat.

Pastrnak over the last three years has performed better on the second line with Krejci than on the top line with Bergeron.
