The captain of the team missed a game, putting this all on Arteta is nonsense.

Also pep hates Francophones I swear this board lol.
The captain did not have to miss a game. He arrived in England a few hours late and got confused about Covid-protocols. High standards mean we don’t wanna be mid table not we want to criminalise players for visiting their sick mothers and taking a slightly later return flight

And recarding the Pep thing, Ask Yaya.

And now Aubameyang is being stripped of captaincy. A totally unreasonable reaction to a man visiting his sick mother and being confused about COVID protocols. Honestly, Mikel is an awful person. Did he throw him to the wolves because he was angry about his recent form? He knew the fan base was angry and he decided to stoke it. Why? To make him look like a strong disciplinarian? It’s a total violation. Auba’s getting abuse up and down and Arteta deliberately added to it when he could’ve quite easily shut down the speculation. He’s a f***ing asshole. A man's mother is ill. Double edged sword as well because why the hell would a a star Aubameyang want to play for such a man.

Arteta basically did the same thing with Özil. He will attempt to ruin the reputation of any player he chooses, even our best ones, because he is trying to create some positive PR of himself, wanting to look like a disciplinary leader. It also reminds me of when he hung Pepe out to dry after he got sent off against Leeds. Pepe had the entire Arteta supporter cult going after him. I do not only dislike Arteta the manager anymore, I hate him as a human being.

AB13 confirmed NOT to be Ty.

Don't think this was just the reason he was stripped. Seems like it's been built up for quite some time.

The team plays better without him and this means the team will be getting a new striker either in Jan or next summer so it's fine by me.

Football teams, like pretty much any group anywhere, are a mess of personal politics, and you constantly have all parties using every avenue to curry public favour for their side. That's why I hesitate to weigh in on any disciplinary issues. Everyone's got their side. That said, clearly Arteta has a beef from other things that this is kind of a last straw for. By which I in no way intend to defend him. I gave the guy plenty of time to prove himself and at this point I think he's proven he can't really cut it. If this is some kind of last straw for Arteta as well that leads to him getting the axe, I'm on board

He's not getting sacked. He does just enough to not get sacked.

“Got confused” loool buddy you leave the country you ensure you understand what to do when you come back. You are a professional, and a grown man.

yaya? That’s your source looool. Just give him a bday cake he’s liable to say anything.

Willian flying to Dubai to have a piece of meat dangled in his mouth was fine, but Aubameyang visiting his ill mother and taking a slightly later flight back was not. It’s got nothing to do with this being built up. This is just Arteta creating drama out of nothing to boost his own reputation and save his job. As I said, he is trying to create a distraction from his own underperformance and the pressure on him. Classic PR stunt.

And Willian didn't really play much last season after that and is gone from the club now.

And from other accounts Auba has been late before to training. He's not captain material. And now that he also sucks he can leave.

Willian litteraly played 25 more games after that.

Auba doesn’t suck. In fact, he has been quite good this season considering the dysfunctional system he has played in. Especially in the September-October period. He challenges for the golden boot in a team that plays with any sort of vertical speed. There are no signs of physical decline, he is just getting less chances, which in this case almost singlehandedly is becuase of Arteta.

How many did he start?

Starting Auba is like playing with 10 men on the field. The worst part is he is missing sitters as well. He needs to go and the team needs a new striker.

Willian started against Leeds in the game after the incident.

And I don’t agree about Auba but that’s a pointless discussion.

I'm going to side with Arteta here, because I never thought Auba was remotely close to captain material in the first place.

Haha !
No idea where this Pep thing comes from since he has Laporte on his team for years. He signed Mendy right after his incredibly dominant performance against City in the CL too.
It’s nonsense he also said pep favours Spanish players for giving torres some minutes

To those who want to see Arteta sacked, who would you replace him with? No one is available right now. Frank Lampard?
