Really?!

For me it's Stone. Hardly ever made a mistake out there.

Probably just because you hear less of him than the others..

I love Stone as well, MDs game is just that high skill attack the net game that I love watching.

It’s not a diss to Stone, I was sad to see him go as well.

So Schneider has been waived by NJ.

Crazy to think of his hype only a few years ago, future Vezina goalie and all that sort!

It's crazy what groin and hip injuries can do to a goalie.

Guy basically can't go post-to-post without blowing something out anymore. Sucks to see. He used to be legit a top-5 goalie in the league on an annual basis.

I miss all three, but I miss EK the most and it isn't close. Best player to ever wear the uniform and the only generational player we've ever had.

Voodoo. Goalies are voodoo. And it will only get worse as the game opens up and more skilled, & fast skaters enter the league. Human knees and hips are not designed for the kind fo workload goalies give them.

They've lost 4 in a row due to defensive misplay, bad goaltending, and an uncharacteristically bad PK.

I'm not sure what Duchene has to do with that. By all reports I've read, he's been one of the high spots for this team so far this year.

Also - a 4 game sample size is hardly definitive of anything.

Clearly he lured unsuspecting teammates into an Uber and it's all gone downhill since then.

I miss Mike Hoffman's game the most. I still rock his 68 in rec league.
Weirdly, same.
He was never my favorite player but man, do I miss his quick release every time one of our forwards bobbles an empty net shot or throws a muffin from the circle.

That shot was something else. He was also pretty clutch in Ottawa.

He was just one of those guys I followed from the get go as a favorite and never lost faith in. I get weirdly attached to outliers like Hoffman, Corvo, Straka and Rachunek to name a few. I give Dorion a lot of credit for Hoffman. When he was being cast out by many, Dorion was saying he was still their best bet at a high end player in the AHL at the time and would show it eventually.

Would be pretty cool if Hossa, Alfie and Gonchar could go into the Hall together.

Wouldn't be this year though, since Iginla seems like a lock and I think the committee will lean towards one of Roenick/Mogilny finally getting in.

Voting transparencyfor the HOF needs to be a thing moving forward, imo.

It's weird because they are uber secretive about the whole process. I guess they feel people won't speak their mind if there is a risk of what they say going public.

Considering the kind of people they let in to the HHoF I think it is more about making sure people don't find out how political the process is.

I mean, Guy Carbonneau is in it :biglaugh:

The HHoF is a business and like any other, it needs to justify it's existence and it can't do that convincingly if people find out how they choose who gets in.

I mean sounds like Iginla is going to get in before Alfie. That says it all.

Iginla absolutely deserves to go in before Alfie. Hurts me to say that as a Sens fan, but it's beyond obvious as a hockey fan.

Unless you mean Alfie on his 3rd try (is that where we're at now) deserves to go in before Iginla on his first try, in which case you may have an argument, but even then I probably disagree.
