I watched last night's game and Karlsson had good jump. He'll be fine.
11.5M is a high price for fine. He is nowhere near Norris level Karlsson and the odds are he won’t get back to anywhere close. Between Vlasic and EK SJ has a big expensive problem. Looks good on Wilson.

MT is one of my favorite NA players and his goal was quite impressive but I'm kinda shocked that Milano's goal is not the clear cut #1 in the Mendes survey. I'd rank them like that

1- Milano
2- Tkachuk/Coleman
4- Svechnikov

Crazy how much heat Dorion took from trading Karlsson (even though it was a directive from his boss), but it might have been the right thing to do in the end. Of course, Karlsson should have been a Sens for life but if he was getting too greedy for his contract, then maybe Sens had no choice to trade him and that's when they decided to "rebuild". Basically no chance for EK to outplay his currently cap hit. Even in a very good year, he won't probably be worth more than 8-9

For Duchene, Sens spent : 4th OA in 2019 + Kyle Turris + 63rd OA in 2019 + Shane Bowers

But recovered : 19th OA pick in 2019 (Lassi Thomson) + Vitaly Abramov + Jonathan Davidsson

For Karlsson, Sharks spent : ? OA in 2020 + Josh Norris + Rudolfs Balcers + 44th OA in 2019 + Chris Tierney + 2nd round pick in 2021 + Dylan DeMelo

The question, is what could the Sharks recover for Karlsson?

Now you have to be wondering what will the posters who spent so much time and energy lambasting Dorion for the Duchene trade say about this now? It will be quite interesting lol

Woot!

Is another NHL team coming to Toronto?

Is another NHL team coming to Toronto?

Ottawa on the move down the 401? Let the rumours begin. :sarcasm:

I know you meant it sarcastically, but for the sake of anyone passing by this comment whose sarcasm detector is broken and takes your post at face value - the video linked to here specifically says they're targeting an expansion team. They're not trying to steal someone else's.

But I do appreciate that they're like the gorillionth group of investors that have tried to bring a 2nd team to Toronto in the last 30 years, though. Heck, these are the same guys who tried this whole schtick a decade ago.

Was totally meant as sarcasm. I kinda figured as this story grows, someone will say that the Sens are going to be that team.

We all know the NHL doesn't move teams easily.

Got rid of the first link, and added text SARCASM note. :)

In all seriousness, it will be interesting how the MLSE deals with this. $5B --> that is real FYOUS

Not sure if another team in the GTA would drive revenues. Broadcast revenues in the region are likely already maxed out.

I'd like to see Hamilton (finally) get a team - close enough to the GTA to have access to that population and corporate base, but with its own distinct identity from Toronto.

Behind you, look out
Fun fact, the original senators almost moved to Toronto and shared the gardens with the leafs but they couldn't come to an arrangement so they went to st Louis instead
