Penguins are not a great 5 v 5 team.....

These game-winning power play goals just go to show you how important special teams are. I think Pittsburgh scored 3 power play goals today. If they were as inept as the Rangers are on the power play, they would have lost this game to the Islanders in regulation.

The Rangers-Capitals series so far has shown that the Capitals aren't exactly lighting it up offensively 5-on-5, and it's the Rangers' power play failures that are being magnified in the end because they can't take advantage of them.

Worst officiated rangers playoff series i had ever seen. It was very close to a rigged game IMO. I remember Straka, and Jagr going irate when Crosby dove multiple times to draw a penalty.

I didn't realize I said that. In fact, I've said the complete opposite several times in the Torts/Sather thread. I don't want a new team, or coaches really. I want the current one to play to the level they are capable of.

My blood still boils at the thought of that punk Malkin slew footing Mara and getting away with it . The only thing that this league does consistently is be inconsistent.

EDIT- Wow I had my games mixed up. That was a regular season game and not the playoffs.

I am so glad we are not playing the Pens/Refs. Like someone mentioned before the NHL will try their best to not have the islanders win this series. In no way was that a penalty in overtime. Maybe in game 23 of the regular season, but in overtime of an NHL playoff game...sorry no way. I would be pissed if I was an Islander fan. They deserved to win that game.

The Islanders have shown infinitely more heart than the Rangers against a much tougher team. Just sad. Henrik is the only one that's shown heart.

horribly officiated game/series.

one of the worst in recent memory was last year's winter classic against philthy. the fix was on big time for them to tie the game. absolutely embarrassingly bad.
