LOL what? His stick was basically on the goal line when he shot that. If Lundqvist gave up that goal HFNYR would crash.

I'm fully aware of that, that's why I said it was a perfect shot. Nabokov laid on to the post with a dead arm and only shot that can beat it is a perfect shot just under the bar. As he is a righty, he can angle the shot better to the short side.

No. The exact opposite. The only place he could shoot was short side. He shot it off the goal line, FFS.

He shot it from the low circle. Which is 3 feet off the goal line. I checked. Him being a righty gives him room to shoot both far side and short side. Nabokov played it right and Bennett shot a perfect shot.

Ah yes, the old dirtbag Cooke. he elbowed some dude in the head in a Devils game earlier this year, but they never showed any video of it

How is he supposed to shoot far side if he's a righty coming down the right side. You're in the playoffs. That goal is inexcusable to me.

I really want to play the Penguins these playoffs. I want us to be the ones to knock them off their high horse.

Also, Nabokov, what are you doing bro?! Why does he never happen to be out of position against us but first game against the Penguins he looks like Chad Johnson.

Prince Chad, he who had dethroned Lundqvist (before being signed by Phoenix to save the team from relocation)?

The Islanders are completely overmatched. They're not a good team. They had a nice run but that's all it is. Pittsburgh is going to show everyone that.

Because he was coming down from the right side with a chance to launch his shot at any time. Being lefty = less room to short side, righty = more room to short side. And vice versa. Nabokov was forced to play both angles and committed to the short side just when he shot the puck. (pads down, dead arm down, stick to the ice). That leaves one single opening which is no bigger than a size of a puck. I hope I'm making at least some sense trying to explain this.

What? You got it backwards. Gee, I wonder why the snipers in the league (Gabby, Vanek, Semin) play on their offside. If you're a righty, playing the LEFT side will give you more room to shoot. And vice versa. Anyone else wanna back me up on this?
