Ok....I'll go watch a replay of our AHL level ECF.

Sure, he's completely fair. Lulz.
Exactly. I dont mind criticism BUT he makes backhanded comments like AHL ECF. He loses credibility when he syas stuff like that

I love reading the Devils' boards. It brings me so much joy to know that their hatred of our hockey team brings them closer together than their enjoyment of their own.

where's rodney dangerfield when you need him? lol i would hear the same things said about the giants in 2007 and 2011 during their runs.

Rangers have better defense over the two last Cup champs? I know your pumped but lets not get unrealistic!!

Rangers are significantly better defensively than Chicago..not just a little...SIGNIFICANTLY.

It's much closer with Los Angeles...their forwards backcheck, and they hit...HARD...it causes separation.

Neither team can match the defensive ability of our top 6 defenseman. Both prefer to defend by controlling the puck.

Just like us. Except we have elite defenseman, and an elite goalie as well.

Los Angeles would be a tougher matchup for us because they can defend. I think we'd beat Chicago, and really both of these teams.

to be fair, he said AHL level pace. Those games were not as back and forth as the Kings/Hawks games, for sure. Lot of that is due to the Rangers' neutral zone play. Seriously doubt the Kings would get through the neutral zone against us like they have against the Hawks.

I don't think it was intended to cone off as trash talk.

I hope you beat Chicago if you meet them in the SCF, because they seem to have our number. I don't understand why everyone seemed to want to face Chicago, even the Canadiens when they were still in it. They are a tough, tough opponent, tougher than my Kings, imo.

Because Chicago has trouble playing against fast teams like themselves

I'm going to be honest. I thought Saad was dumb and lazy and had a pretty bad draft year.

But Jesus he's been nothing but a hard worker with skill as a pro.

Took his fall personally

Showed up to first camp for Hawks wearing #43 (His draft #) and basically said he was gonna show the GM's who passed on him what a mistake it was

Ironically the Hawks passed on him 3 times in that draft

1st round = Mark McNeill and Phillip Danault
2nd round = Adam Clendening

Saad was Hawks 4th pick that draft

Game 7 should be great and then whichever team advances sets up a great finals match with Rangers

I love how people underestimate our speed so much

It's not a question of respecting it. It's whether one of those 2 western teams will allow you to use it effectively. Zucc is your only really east/west type virtuoso with the puck and possibly MSL could be characterized with that label at this stage of his career. The other 3 burners (Hagelin, Kreider, Nash) you have on the wing are more North/South players.

If you watch the way that Chicago plays, they take far more risks, exposing large gaps between their D and forwards, which would turn give the Rangers wings more room to explode into those open lanes. LA plays far more tighter as a unit with their centers as the fulcrum of the defensive unit. You're not going to be able to use your trademark speed against the kings as opposed to the blackhawks.

The perceived pace of this WCF series has nothing to do with what is coming up in the SCF. I don't see the connection, as the series will be comprised of two different teams.

You would think people would be smart enough to realize that, but I always assume too much.
Some strange assumption that the Rangers will have no say in how the games are played, like they will stand around and compliment the Kings or Hawks players as they go by.

Guys, lets be real here.

who would honestly want to discuss hockey with the fans over on his teams board?

I sure as hell wouldn't.

Which is why I wouldn't go to their board to discuss their own team, especially if my team was sent packing and their team is in the SCF.

You make a good point about their centers defensively, but I think that our north/south wingers could burn their defenseman in terms of getting in on the forecheck. The Rangers obviously prefer to move the puck through the neutral zone and make plays on the rush, but guys like Kreider, Nash, and Hagelin give us a killer forecheck as well.

Rangers use the North-South game to stretch teams out. Chip, Chase, and drive the net. It's a simple game, and it works really well.

I think that's what you're going to have to rely on if it's the kings. Take the dump in & retrieval as opposed to looking for that stretch pass. It's going to be ugly hockey.

Unlike years past, the Rangers are a very versatile team. They can adjust in-game, and in-series to most styles of play.

The Kings forecheck and net front presence could create problems against us, but I have confidence in the Rangers D to suppress it a bit. Also, their counterattack could give us some problems. Need to capitalize on strong puck possession shifts, and they need to manage the puck well.
