To be honest Montreal stopped playing after their 3rd goal. Boston is a good comeback team BUT montreal really was invisible that last 15 minutes or so

On the other hand, I trust Hank/McD/Girardi/Staal/Stralman with a 3-1 lead more than Price/Subban/Markov/Gorges/Emelin...by a LONG shot.

Fair enough, but Montreal doesn't have the firepower that Boston does, nor do they have the timely goal scoring that Boston has proven for years that they have.

Rask is also the only goalie in the league that is almost on Lundqvist's level.

That is assuming we could even get a 2 goal lead on the bruins in the first place. We've struggled to score on crap goalies. Rask has basically owned us lately.

Rask is prone to complete meltdowns. Remember the Hagelin goal last year?

Yes, the Bruins would likely beat us in 5 or 6 games. My point is just that we are a better defensive team than Montreal. And I'll take Hank over Price.

This postseason? Not a chance. Price been playing out of his mind MVP caliber hockey and Hank has been so so.

Yes, this postseason. Hank has not been "so so", he had one questionable game in which we scored two goals.

Only on HFNYR can Hank have a .923 sv% and a 2.08 GAA and still be "so so". ROFL. And yet the one with a .910 sv% is playing "out of his mind MVP caliber". Again, ROFL.

Habs SWEPT Tampa. And Price had a terrible game one in that series. He had a great game in game one against the Bruins, but he fell apart at the end of this one.

I'm just waiting for "but it wasn't his fault!", when I am CERTAIN that people would be ******** all over Hank if it were him in that position.

And still Hank has a decisive lead in save percentage .923 vs. .910 (which doesn't really fit to "out of his mind MVP caliber hockey")

Umm what?

A couple things in regards to this. Flyers are ten times better then Tampa. Tampa was not the same team that made the playoffs. The following players were gone from there roster.

MSL
Bishop
Malone
Palat missed a game

There might even be a few more guys I'm leaving off. That team was really not very good.

Yet I STILL think Hank was better then Price even though he played a superior team. Price is a good goalie, but he gets rattled far to easy (as was seen today) and loses his composure so pucks start slipping through him.

I like Price as a goalie, but he hasn't been better then Hank these playoffs. I don't even think that's a debate, outside of his fantastic Game 1 performance against the B's.

There it is. That's it and everything.

The people defending Hank don't overrate him, it's the people who bash him that overrate him because they expect shutouts every night. That **** ain't gonna happen.

Example: That Patty Kane goal that people are going absolutely ape **** over... If Hank gave up that goal, oh my God, the board would meltdown.

Hank's given us a chance to win every night but one so far. He played out of his mind in game 7 against the Flyers, and he kept us in it last night in Pittsburgh.

So. Spoiled.

I completely agree with you on the Kane goal. Frankly, that was Bryz being lol. Kane was on his backhand essentially the entire time, pretty obvious what he was going to do. Also, that was horrendous defense from Brodin.

the final four could end up being los angeles, chicago, boston, and new york. pretty much the four biggest markets in the country. im sure bettman wouldn't mind that.

Also, Boston could actually face only original six teams all the way to the Finals.

There will be a time, probably right after Henke retires, that we'll be stuck with some mid-tier starter or journeyman-type guy between the pipes. Someone that will post a SV% of .905 or something like that. Maybe then people will realize how good we have it with Lundqvist.

So ****ing spoiled is right. His "bad" year this season would be a career year for nine out of ten goalies in the NHL. He's not above bad games, or bad stretches, but I think there are a lot of people who don't realize how even through that, he's still one of the top handful of goalies in the league and has been basically for a decade. Unfortunately, some people won't realize what they had until it's gone...

Gonna be a sad day for hockey when Selanne plays his last game. Great ambassador for the sport

I'll never understand why teams with a one goal lead pressure the points with the extra skater.

Why is Allen going for the puck? In that scenario you hogtie a guy and take the penalty than allow his stick to be free.

Allen always sucked. You sneeze on Gaborik and he goes down. Allen was playing **** **** games instead of doing his job.
