Backes showed emotion during the game and Blues come back from 2-1 to lead 3-2.. nice goal by Steen...

Scheifele done for the year, what a shame for the Jets, Maurice had them playing great hockey and Scheifele was having a great season. Jets have no Centers to replace him. They need a cheap option today, maybe Matt Cullen or PM Bouchard.

Niklas Lindstrom retirement is on Thursday for those who care. what a great dman he was.. very smart player.

wow Flyers up 4-0 over the Capitals. i cant believe some fans actually wanted Mike Greene LMAO

This isn't from the NHL (Mass. HS hockey), but it's still worth sharing:

Yikes. Keep your head up, kid.

Good thing that was in Mass Hockey, and not a softer league like the NHL. Kid might have gotten a dozen games.

imagine the reaction if this happened vs Rangers..

the lack of grit and toughness on this team will hurt down the road.

WHAT THE ****!

“@DarrenDreger: Hearing the NHL has reversed part of its penalty against the Devils for cap circumvention (Kovalchuk contract)….”

“@DarrenDreger: NHL will award Devils with the 30th pick in the Draft instead of the 1st round pick as usually determined. Also forgiving $1.5 mil of fine.”

Cool stuff. Good thing the NHL stands behind the punishments it doles out.

"Go to your room, you're grounded." 5 minutes later... "Hey mom and dad can I go to a party tonight?" "Yeah of course son. We were only kidding about you being grounded."

To be fair, the Devils aren't very good this draft thing lately. The #30 pick will probably get them at best a 3rd line grinder that will bore us to tears for years.

nah they will draft the next Ryan Carter and he will get a hat trick or be the #1 star anytime he plays a game vs Rangers :help:

Seems stupid to me. What if the Devils gave up the 29th overall a few years ago? Would they have gotten this 30th anyway? So ultimately the punishment would have been a third round pick and one spot in the draft order?

Needless to say, NHL teams are not happy with the leagues decision to let the Devils off the hook.

well, if this is the case, then surely Slats can weasel his way out of a cap hit penalty for Richards, eh?

did the league ever think that other teams in the conference and in the division specifically may have altered their plans (not that the Rangers have any) in coordination with the Devils not having a first? Trades? Positioning? Leverage?

Maybe not directly, but indirectly effecting. League is a joke.
