This didn't make any sense to meHe also plays more time short handed than any forward on the Rangers (tied with Boyle)

With one point so far tonight Dubinsky is on pace for 60 points, 227 hits, 40 blocked shots and a 56.5% face off percentage. No one on the Rangers is on pace for as many points, hits (by a decent margin) or has as good of a faceoff percentage and the only centers close to as good in the dot don't play a top-six role. People love to say we traded a third liner for Nash but it's really not true. He also plays more time short handed than any forward on the Rangers (tied with Boyle) and would have the fourth most power play time among forwards on the Rangees despite out scoring all of them.
He should have been named to Team USA as the fifth center over Stepan. Not only has outperformed him in some of the statistical categories, but he has been more engaged and involved whereas Stepan has been a passenger this season.

Marian Gaborik sat in pain on a trainer’s table in the Blue Jackets’ dressing room, a piece of bone jutting out of his left shoulder. It was late in the first period of a Dec. 21 game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Between the sound of the doctor’s diagnosis — broken collarbone — and the muffled cheering from within Nationwide Arena, Gaborik had tears streaming down his face.
“When you see a superstar that emotional — and I saw the tears — it just guts you,” right wing Cam Atkinson said. “It shows you how much he cares and how much he has had taken away from him.”
Gaborik missed nearly six weeks because of a knee sprain, then played only four shifts before his collarbone snapped when he was pinned between two Flyers players.
The Blue Jackets and Gaborik have had no contract talks to date, and there have been no indications they are interested in signing him to an extension. - See more at: http://bluejacketsxtra.dispatch.com...-injury-uncertainty.html#sthash.wVGgUNg8.dpuf
How about you look up stats over 5 seasons... oh and who got picked for team Canada![]()
Dubinsky has only had one bad season in his entire career, actually. And always has a ton of hits, good amount of blocks and has been a very good face off man. He started out as a 40ish point rookie and trended up every season except for the one down year that resulted in him being traded, basically. He does have some injury trouble though; seems to miss 10-15 games a year.
not convinced that dubi's style of play is good for international ice.He should have been named to Team USA as the fifth center over Stepan. that's the shame of the whole trade...it was done to give torts more "torts" like players...if slats knew torts wouldn't be staying, why do the trade? Just imagine if we had gabs right now instead of brass?I wouldn't be surprised one bit if AV wanted sather to go after gaborik. For all the flack he gets he still produces more than 3/4 of our roster does injuries or not.
So is Nash? He's streaky as **** though, at least he was with the Rangers.

since coming to NY, nash has not gelled with any center in the way he did with guys in CBJ. While stepan is good, he lacks the veteran experience to know what to do with the puck to set Nash up.Not really..seems ever since he's become a ranger he's gotten streaky
ya I should've added that I don't think steps, this year, is much better. Not sure how heavily his WJC experienced weighed in on the decision.Stepan may not be a good fit for international ice either, his skating is horrendous.

remember how bad Jags was until Nylander showed up?
