Bad tasting water?

Will the Fans Come Back?

"The Oilers lost 6-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes last night and dropped to 2-4-1 in their previous seven games. They are experiencing their first rough patch of the season, but last night the results on the ice weren’t the biggest story in my eyes. It was what I saw in the crowd.

At puck drop. @EmptySeatsPics #LetsGoOilers
There were numerous empty seats. The official attendance on the game sheet was 16,175 which was the lowest crowd of the season. But from my spot, it looked there were more than 2,172 empty seats. Regular capacity at Rogers Place is 18,347, and last night by a rough count I had more than 3500 empty seats. That is just me averaging rows and sections, not counting every seat of course.
The Oilers have only had two sellouts so far; the first two games of the year."

That picture was taken in 2011 and Stranger Things came out in 2016.

It's great to know that in the future Aliu refuses to let his race keep him from achieving his time travelling dreams. He should be an inspiration to us all.

Yep, hence my confusion. Unless he's not dressed up... and thus I'm accidentally an ignorant dick by saying he looks like Will Byers in possibly traditional clothing? ... I have no clue.

Hope so. It would do certain posters a world of good. I will enjoy all the Evander Kane tantrums that will result.

Evander Kane is the best thing to happen to the NHL in a long time. But because of the current hockey culture and the way things are, he’s been made out to look like an *******. In 15 years from now, there’ll be many more Kane type of players. In the NBA or NFL, he would just be another guy.

He's an average player who displays childish antics on the ice. What's positive about that? Is this a joke post?

My comments are based on my own watching. Not sure who you think is influencing me.

No, talking into a stack of bills during a lockout where players proclaimed they were hard done by and couldn’t afford new socks made him out to look like a douche.

That's years ago, though.

I'm referring to his more recent history of constantly starting meaningless scrums, forcing his teammates to fight his battles for him, then kill a penalty while he takes an early shower, all because he can't handle losing (but is part of the reason for it). Also, he has unironically called declared himself a tough guy, but yet repeatedly proves that he can't handle being hit and takes personal offence to it, again, to his teammates' detriment. I think he would be an awful teammate. I wonder if Sharks fans are fed up with his antics yet.

The notion that Evander Kane should be celebrated for trying to pull a spotlight onto himself at times is silly. Sean Avery did it plenty of times, but where is the shrine for him? I get people are starving for athletes to give them some form of insight into their personal lives, but why on Earth does that mean that negative personality traits should be lauded simply because we get to witness them? The things that Kane has made himself known for aren't things that we appreciate in people in our own lives, by and large.

I don't like Kane. I mean, I just think his stuff is straight up dumb and he creates messes for others to clean up. If the race card or skin color card must be played, then I'd easily say he's absolutely one of the worst representatives for his banner. There are far better representatives in the NHL than he by a wide margin.

Even in the NBA and NFL, I don't think he's just another guy. He's a guy who puts a target on his own back and then whines when others gleefully knock him down a few rungs.

Let’s not forget that recently Kane failed to pay a $500,000 betting marker in Vegas and has literally ran away from it.

I said it years ago that he is the kind of person who will be dead broke when his NHL career is over, and it’s because he is an idiot.

I hate Kane's contract. If he had 2-3 years left instead of 5, I'd be fine with bringing him here. But I think Hoffman's better anyway
