Also speaking of Sullivan and petty, Ian Cole was definitely being railroaded I guess? That’s crazy. Someone can just go on and make some claims and not have to back it up and he gets ruined. Person should be ashamed for the stigma they attach to actual assaults when this bs happens.

That's just NHL coaches, they're almost all pricks. Herb Brooks, Pat Quinn, Lindy Ruff, Hitchcock, Laviolette, Tortorella, Therrien, Julien, Maurice, the list goes on and on for decades. Especially guys who bark like Sully. Their whole thing is trying to get the respect of the room by barking and being tough, and pretty often that causes a rift because players are also grown adults and that kinda shit's stupid. Shit, Bylsma wanted so desperately to be one of the guys and be liked by his players that he was pathetic, but even he had his favorites, drove young guys off the team like Despres, and never, ever would've made playing Jake, Rust or Sheary a priority.

It's still another universe from the kinda shit Babcock did though, and I think it's shitty to try and even a little bit equate the two. His players hate his guts because he's a repugnant piece of shit, not because he was a gruff coach. He was, and probably still is, a complete scumbag human.

Agree on that last part. The disservice done to actual victims on the (extremely rare) occasion that something like that happens is f***ing psychotic. Prosecute those people as harshly as you'd prosecute the predator.
