A fine night to revisit all the people who told me Florida didn’t win the Tkachuk trade. See what they’re up to. What opinions they have about what we should do this off-season.

LMAO, i was looking away from the game for a minute and had it on mute. I looked up and Tkachuk was running off into the tunnel. I thought it was a replay of yesterday's OT goal. Then i looked at the top corner and saw to score. funny shit.

2-0 series lead heading home. this could be a Leafs series repeat.

I get the stick mishap but have to wonder why both of the Canes D men (covering the low net patch) went into the same corner leaving the front wide open.

I realize Carolina - via Brindamour plays an aggressive overload the ice patch where the puck is style of PK. It's been real effective for them but it "Burned their butts" (pun intended) tonight.

TS. Stuff happens.

Not even two weeks since he crosschecked Pietrangelo in the face after the period ended.

Chris Simon had over 200 NHL fights and still stomped on a guy. Fighting didn't stop him, or Pronger, or Cooke from doing this.
1 day an attorney is going to show up with the correct argument and the NHL will cease to exist.

On Barry (best show on TV right now), there's a scene where Barry is shopping for a podcast preacher who will provide a theory of moral justification for offing his former acting teacher who Barry thinks is going to "tell his story".

He finally finds one: a former hockey player for the Rockford IceHogs who served time for killing another player on the ice when "he came after my buddy" and was left with no other options.

That and Paul Bissonette are the reasons why hockey has a limited audience.

Ian White as a caricature?

I don't know. It wasn't really a character on the show -- just fifteen seconds of the most absurd defense of violence in a voice-over cameo by Bill Burr.

Edit: and as I look for what I was responding to, I realize I may have put this in the wrong thread.

Eff me. Sorry for the non sequitur.

Eichel just stood at the bench stretching out his neck and looking uncomfortable the entire time the commentators talked about his recovery from neck surgery and how he’s feeling great. I’m not saying he’s in trouble…just that the juxtaposition was incredible.

Peak NHL commentary there. Praising the hiring of recycled coaches because 3/4 of the semi final teams have coaches who were fired before. When at least 3/4 of the league hires those recycled coaches that number isn’t an accomplishment…it’s a statistical inevitability

On puck over the glass replay “everyone wants it perfect…but perfect is never going to happen”

Then get rid of offsides and goalie interference reviews.

This team just can’t find a single fault in the league and have decided to use their platform to tell you why everything is perfect already, actually

The only lesson I’ve learned from these playoffs is that if a team has to trade their best young player you should want to get that player. And that you never know what goalie will get hot…so you should have multiple decent options instead of two bad ones and an old guy. But I already knew that one.
