I want Florida to win.

But the "NHL is a mickey mouse league" in me thinks that play was offside and they didn't bother doing a review, Just like a certain other time.

Tkachuk looked like he failed to hold the line before the puck was pushed into the corner. I never did see a replay of it.
The linesmen missed numerous calls in the 3rd and 4th OT. They were frequently out of position by that time due to fatigue. Pretty sure the PP awarded to the Canes in the 4th (?) OT was a ref inspired, "let's get this damn game over" call. lol

It didn't work.

Cool to witness a game like that - 6th longest is special history. There should be a compound German word for the sadness felt when a marathon OT game finally ends though. Always rooting against inevitable odds for the eternal game.

One could say its the other way round.
I wasnt even a fan back then so its meaningless for me because no trace of what happened is left in that org other than peoples imagination.
No trace???

Brind'amour was the captain of the Canes when they beat us in '06 and is the Canes coach now.

Blood in the water in Toronto, please take advantage this off-season and close the gap to them. Keefe gone, Nylander for sure going to be gone, Matthews TBD on if he will re-sign long term.

I could have saved them two years of failure had they listened then.

I don't understand the rave reviews about Dubas a bit. He had weird trades and stupid contracts and too much faith in his coach, Keefe. Of course Dubas will certainly find work in the NHL as a GM, but I don't think he did very well in Toronto.

I had more the foot in the crease in mind from Dallas; nevertheless its nearly 20 years, the other thing 25 years ago;
If anything it shows that there was nothing going on around here for nearly 20 years, that people have to have reanimate stoneage dreams to keep any sense of former playoff antagonists.
