I want to know if any of Shanahan, Dubas or Keefe survive this. I think all three get the boot. They failed. Repeatedly and often.
They didn't build for the playoffs. Could have used more Lafferty's than Marner........

Feel a little sad for McCabe but great for Reinhart and Montour (who also had a very good series...)

Given who is left I am fully aboard the Edmonton championship train now.

I will say the Panthers are no fluke. They were one shot away from missing the playoffs but they did win the Presidents Trophy last year and they made a huge trade where they did end up with the best player - a legit MVP candidate in any other season. Bobrovsky has been a playoff star in the past.

How many times have we seen a Presidents Trophy winner falter in the playoffs, then come back the next season without as many points but much better in the post season? Look at the Lightning after they set records in the regular season then lost to the Blue Jackets. Took a step back but then won two Cups in a row.
